I made the fat free cheese sauce, added a couple teaspoons of pickled jalapeno brine. I am honestly shocked at how good it is! Like, it's made from oatmeal and it tastes like the nacho cheese sauce you get at the movies!

I just made a 1/2 recipe of the cashew cheese sauce and it is so good. I think this would be good with a vegetable quesadilla. Definitely will use as a dip.

I'm curious. So after you make the 'cheese', store in the fridge, when you want to add it to your hot foods, do you microwave your portions? Add it to your hot food cold? TYIA :0))

I tried making the FF sauce for something different. I think I had a disaster – Lol! I have never had such a mess cleaning my Vitamix afterwards under the blade (I left the sauce in to heat vs. doing the stove method). My red peppers had barely any liquid in the jar to start with, so I had to compensate with extra water. All of my initial measurements were per instructions & correct. I think if I make again, I would halve the recipe (a lot for 1 person), add less cornstarch, a wee more salt and I felt like it needed more flavor all around. I will say that I haven't had cheese in approx. 1 month, so my expectations could have unconsciously been different. I did find out that I love the taste of redskins and broccoli all by their lonesome 🙂 I do love exploring new recipes!

I've been watching every cheese sauce video available out there but haven't made one yet. I have all the ingredients for Jill's sauce and will try that one but it seems a little more fussy if you don't have a Vitamix (which I don't) with having to heat on the stove and re-blend. I LOVE that you are using potatoes and the cooking water…it adds the necessary starch so you wouldn't need to add corn starch. Definitely going to try your white sauce as well as the other cheese sauces you do using potatoes and carrots. Seems so much more simple. I love your channel, Kiki. Whenever I start feeling overwhelmed and feeling like this is soooooo hard, I come and watch one (or more) of your videos to remind me how easy this way of eating can really be. Thank you.

    You.Are.Awesome!…that is all.

Hi Kiki , I noticed in your recipe description for the nacho cheese sauce it says “2 tsp garlic” at the end but I think that’s where you used “2 tsp salt”. Also you might put the 4 cups water under the first recipe description👍🏼. I’m going to try this one today!!😊. You are a gem💕

I just made the nacho cheese sauce it it was REALLY good. I was skeptical so I cut the recipe in half, just in case I had to toss it. 😆. But nope. It’s a keeper. I literally could eat it by itself. I served it over my potatoes and veggies. Mmm. Mmmm good 😋

Thank-you for sharing these great recipes. I made your tomato sauce, and refried black beans recipes today, as well as the low fat nacho sauce. They all tasted delicious! In your notes, the water is missing from the nacho cheese sauce recipe. At first I couldn't figure out why my sauce was more like a paste! Then I rewatched the video and saw the addition of the 4 cups of water.

Your "Star McDougaller" weight loss story appeared in my facebook feed the other day, and since then I have been binge watching your videos. Thank-you for sharing your story, and all these great recipes. I made your white bean & potato Kale soup today. Going to make this nacho cheese sauce next! I didn't have any good sauce recipes. Just one question, do you heat up the sauce before serving it?

I have been searching for a good cheese sauce recipe. The cashew based sauces are tasty, but with the fat I'm looking for other options. I am interested to try the oatmeal based sauce. I love using cauliflower to make alfredo sauce and last night I thought to try using cauliflower to make a cheese sauce. It turned out great. I want to compare to your oatmeal recipe.
