Hi I'm the same way I only cook 6 days one day is always leftovers or a sandwich if we're not feeling the leftovers for that week. Tfs✌️🙏♥️♥️♥️
Having something with me in the car as a snack or packed lunch to fight off the cravings to go to the drive thru if out and gone to appointments and errands all day
Whenever I have a rotisserie chicken I take whatever meat is leftovers after we have all eaten I will shred what's left which is usually a couple of cups if I need something quick I take 2 boxes of the taco hamburger helper use my chicken add a little extra cheese and it's a meal in 20 min. And it's teen approved and asked for regularly. I am not the overachiever I cook 4 nights a week with at least 2 dinners with leftovers that will feed us 2 other nights and the last night of the week is either a fix what you want night I have 3 teens so they are all capable of making sandwiches, cup o noodles hot pockets or frozen pizza. I cook every night and can't eat most of what I cook due to allergies I have to be gluten free, dairy free and soy free so I eat salad alot so it's nice to get a night once a week.
Because of food allergies in the house – peanut, gluten and dairy – our convenience foods are leftovers which get frozen in single serve containers.
I really enjoy watching your channel. You have such great energy. I also didn't know that Rally's had frozen fries you can buy. I don't buy fries normally. And I have been doing a lot of online grocery shopping. Our Rally's closed several yrs ago. I'm going to look at our Walmart to see if they have them. Thx for sharing!!
Well I feel foolish. Just able to catch up on videos on lunch and eating Sonic….now I know better lol
Another time helper is to pressure can your meat ahead of time. I have 22 lbs of ground turkey that I will can this week–it makes making spaghtetti, sloppy joes, chili so easy! Ground turkey is cheaper than ground beef and no one in my house noticed when I changed us to all ground turkey. I can make 22 pints of canned meat at a time. so worth it! After seeing the grid down in Texas, it really makes me understand the power of prepared food and a butane portable stove.
There are so many fast food places on my way home from work. On the days that I don't have something planned and in the fridge for dinner I find it so hard to pass up the drive thru. Great video. Great info.
Homemade lasagna is better and cheaper homemade anything is better than prepackaged store-bought stuff
I love love love copycat recipes for our drive thru cravings. Aldi red bag chicken breast and brioche buns are spot on for Chik-Fil-A. Add fries, fruit salad and lemonade for a complete experience! Walmart has a good frozen C-F-A chicken nugget dupe but I find it too $$$. I make homemade Chipotle carnitas burritos as a leftover meal from a pork roast. And Panera broccoli cheese soup is another favorite recipe I recreate. Pinterest has so many options for famous copycats.
Great video as always! I hit up Trader Joe’s when I get a little tired of cooking. It happens. Their frozen entrees are pretty convenient. Pot stickers are a favorite. I go there about once a month to stock up for times I just don’t feel like cooking. Works pretty well and can be ready in 15-20 minutes tops. Takes longer than that to go get something and bring it back. Cheaper and better!
Great ideas!!! My daughter's and I are vegetarian but my son eats meat..so I cook meat in large portions ahead of time for him and portion it in individual bags/containers to just pull out for him meals. When we do Chinese fake-out the girls and I will do tofu and he'll have one of the TJ's frozen Asian chicken…we also do the Chick-fil-A fake-out with a vegetarian patty option…and yes I've been better about cooking my beans from scratch and portion then individually in the freezer. In the fall/winter I have onion/celery/carrots ready cut in the freezer to make a quick soup when someone is coming down with a cold.
I love your channel! Thanks for the motivation!
It's sometimes faster to make dinner from frozen entrees/veg than going through a busy drive-thru that might mess up your order, with tired kids in the back seat that just want to go home. Making meals at home is not only healthier and less expensive, it's also more calming, and more likely to be a meal eaten around the table instead of in front of a TV.
OMGsh, I enjoy your posts so much! Your channel has quickly moved into my top-5 faves!!! Thanks for all your hard work on sharing such useful and motivating posts while raising your kids and all the rest that you do in a day!
When it comes to dupes I highly suggest looking up the Chick-fil-A coleslaw recipe. it is wonderful
I'm loving your content!!
I like your idea to plan for fun convinence items that remind you of takeout, but are less expensive. Our fav convinence item is to buy frozen Korean rice cakes and noodles with premade tteokbokki sauce. Serve it with cheese on top! It takes 5 min and it feels like a treat.

Good morning and a Happy Thursday to you 😊
I do these things. I live by myself and have to travel for my job, so I eat out Tuesday thru Friday, so I cook on the weekend. You can get so tired of eating out.
I keep half a rosterisse chicken, Turkey and ground beef (1/2 and 1/2) cooked in 1/3 lbs baggie, and 1/4lbs of sausage. I only use a bit for a recipe so I can added extra vegetables.
Great ideas! Thank you so much ❤
Great tips 😊
