Oxtails are my favorite delicacy. I don't know if I would prefer Jamaican style ( I grew up with my Jamaican friends in Brooklyn ), to Spanish style ( garlic and tomato sauce ), or Southern Style in brown gravy. All 3 are to die for and too expensive to eat except on occasion. Without a pressure cooker they need to be cooked at least 3 hours to become tender. Also, ordering oxtails at Jamaican restaurants will often result in getting mostly the tiny ones with little meat, so buyer beware. Smile

I enjoy eating your dishes. I have a request. The identification of your ingredients are not specific to cook the dish exactly like yours. I'm not sure what to substitute the ingredient with. Example – Sazon Seasoning. My grocery store sells 5 different flavors . Which flavor is yours? I did not find bonnet peppers. Maybe they are called something else?I What's green seasoning? I thought there would be a recipe to make it-it wasn't listed. Didn't find anything named green seasoning in my store. What is it? I like to use the exact same ingredients the first time and improvise with other seasonings if I want to the next time. I can pretty much tell if I'm going to like a dish by the ingredients. You've used a couple of items I'm not familiar with but it looks delicious and I want to try it. I cook oxtails all the time. I just want to try something different/new. Thank you!

That looks so yummy cuz I love a lot of sauce things that kind of have a few leaves in it it's like so delicious you need to try it
For this to have been a throw away part of the animals, just like chicken wings, & pork hock, to now cost more than ribeye steak is ridiculous. I love oxtail if prepared properly and let sit over night in a marinade like I grew up on. We didn't waste any part of any animal growing up, even if it was used for stock after being boiled down.

So I don't know what the sofrito you use is or what you mean by sofrito. There are a million combinations of sofrito. Everybody has their secret sofrito that makes their dish different, or their secret sofrito. Therefore give us your sofrito ingredients or I don't know what sort of sofrito you are using.

Two words pressure cooker it's faster and guaranteed the meat falls right off the bone with a light poke but if you want a long brazing period get a crock pot or slow cooker anyone you use guarantee absolute deliciousness
