P is for Pizza. New York-style pizza has a thin crust, seasoned sauce, and mozzarella cheese, and is known for being sold by the …
I disagree with steering people towards dollar slices. There are so many better places in NYC. Pricier yes, but worth it for the higher quality and taste. Example: Joe's Pizza on Carmine St.
This series is making me want to go to New York. I live just across the river in Canada.
In Italy you get something called pizza al trancio, which basically means pizza by the slice. Often they are thicker and cut into rectangles, which I think is often just sold cold, but you can also get thinner crispier pizza that they pre cut into slices, and then they are at the front for you to choose. When you've chosen they then put in back into the pizza oven to heat it up, it's so so good.
2 Bros had $1 all over the city. I would get 2 slices plus a drink and that would fill me in high school. It wasn’t gourmet but it did the job, I wonder if it’s still that affordable.
Had to watch that back. I literally go to this place 2-3 times a week. Love it
Are you serios? Dollar slice? Here in LA those are $5.75 +
I bet the gas oven guy was a nazi
Is 99 cents including taxes? I remember the first time I went to the US I was surprised my bill was higher than the listed price because taxes weren't included yet 😅 Where I'm from, taxes are already included in the listed price
I'll eat any pizza 😊

I mean pizza is a classic in nyc but the sauce is often way too sweet imho
In the 70's a New Yorker opened up a pizza shop across the street from my high school. I still crave those $.55 Meola's pizza slices.
Wish I liked NYC style pizza
seems like New York owe all the foods in this series to immigrants
Been there for lunch…it’s good!
That is not thin crust
Its shocking the slice is still $1.00 with the inflation.
Hard to beat a eight dollar pizza. Looks delicious.

I've seen so many documentaries about pizza, but yours is the first to include the game-changing history of the gas pizza oven. That's one of the reasons we watch you, Beryl. Keep it up!
