Hi! I have a question. I wanted to buy the bonito powder you often use in your recipes, but I could only find dashi no moto in the supermarket. Can I use it instead of normal dashi powder?

For the vinegar, regular white vinegar or rice vinegar? I recently learned that we have a Japanese Grocery store in our city. It's not the typical Asian market. They specialize in Japanese products. I make Shokupan at home but they sell the real thing there so I had to try it. Honestly, it's hard to tell the difference other than I can taste a little more salt in the one I bought at the store.

Wow! They all look delicious! I've tried your simple miso soup a few times and it always turns out good and makes me happy. I've bought a tamagoyaki pan and so far, I'm not very good at it, but practice makes perfect! Thank you for sharing wonderful inspirational breakfasts with us!

These look fantastic! What I love is that you’ve taken simple ingredients that are relatively easy to get. Any challenging ingredients could be simply replaced by something else, and all of these would still turn out amazing

I made seabass for dinner tonight; whilst I was cooking, I was thinking I could save the smaller fillet and have it for breakfast tomorrow, Japanese style!
I clicked on YouTube to watch something whilst I ate, and your video was here, showing us all about different breakfasts, a wonderful coincidence! If I have the energy, I might try making the tamagoyaki to go along side it, with some seasoned salad, pickled tomato and rice!
