Not a mum, but my parents had me and my brother do chores when we were younger. One child would have to empthy the dishwasher for a week and on saturday clean the bathroom, the other child had to prepare the table before meals for a week and clean the stairways on saturday. The chores would be swapped every week and we were expected to both help with some cooking and washing the dishes which wouldn't go into the dishwasher. When we were younger our parents helped us (of course), but as we got older we were expected to do the chores by ourselves. Sometimes we hated it, but now we are able to live on our own with no issues at all.

You inspire me so much. I love your videos and this content is what inspired to make my channel and motivate others to try new things in the kitchen. I feel like every video of yours that I watch I do learn something new and the way you make it seem so simple, gives me courage to try! Thank you!!

You're supposed to pour hot water in the glass and let it sit for about 5 minutes, then you pour the water put, invert it over the butter and let sit about 15 minutes, I would not do on cold metal surface either

Love your channel! Also, I like when you do the videos in real time. It's more relaxing to watch. When I watch You Tube videos, it's to relax, not to get stressed while watching some one speed thru their activities. But either way, i'll still watch your videos! Lol

So your cookies looked flat like you said, and I think it was either the baking soda or powder that might have been old or you might not have added enough. Anytime you get a dough that looks too wet try adding another half a cup to a cup of flour too. 😉 great recipes as usual

    Yummmmm!
I think if anyone wants to watch a sped up version they can just change their settings. I watch everything in 2x speed because I'm normally busy and the small amount of time I have for YouTube, I try to cram as much in as possible lol.

The weather can have something to do with how your flour reacts the same way different elevations work with flour, mixes and such. My Mamaw always taught me to not just go by the recipe, but also the look and feel of the dough. ( Especially a recipe your use quite often). Hope this helps. Also watching you with your girls baking reminded me of when my kids were little. Great memories for them to look back on.

Putting the butter on a plate on top of the oven while it's preheating and cooking something else usually works if you are not really rushed but quicker then waiting around sitting on the counter .
