    I've used barbeque sauce as a substitute but it's just not the same. Long ago when we went to the the department stores in Yokohama to eat it always have the pork katsu. I even loved cabbage with tonkatsu sauce on it !

    How long does this last if stored air tight and in the refrigerator? Cause in order to get actual tonkatsu sauce I do have to go a bit out of my way to an Asian market but the local places DO sell oyster sauce so I can make it at home and I eat a LOT of tonkatsu and chicken katsu…so I may need to double up the ingredient amounts.
