I just took some previously frozen onions and peppers out of my old Harvester dehydrator. Had to peel the pieces off of the trays. Is there a trick to keep the vegies from sticking?

You read my mind! I've got a frozen bag of pepper and onion blend and was just thinking "I wonder if I could dehydrate these?" Thank you for showing that I can!

Useful Video. I have dehydrated frozen veg but as more for freeing freezer space. I tend to use these veg is casserole (watery) type dishes. I tend to, not always I am indisciplined like that, to simply put how many Peppers ot onions are in the jar, if I have dehydrated from fresh. Then all I have to do is remember if I have taken an equivalent out :-).
I have never bought frozen veg for dehydrating, perhaps I should.

My son and his girlfriend got Covid last week. Vitamin D3 and a Zinc. I had been near them before they knew they had it, so I took the same. I didn't get sick. There are Doctor on Youtube advising on what to when you get Covid. 4 Vit D3 seems to be very common advice. Hope you feel better soon.

Always learn new things from you. Thanks for the details and research. I got some arrowroot to add to my onion powder after hearing you talk about it. I just don't know how much to use. The onion powder is AMAZING! Even the smell is delicious.

Good to know. I've been hesitant to do garlic and onions because I have an apartment and don't want that smell to permeate the place! It's so good to hear the smell is much less with frozen. Do you know if that works for garlic too?

Cover the stainless steel bowl of the grinder with Saran, the put the cup on. Saves all the discolouration and you can generally tap off most of the powder before you remove the Saran.

Where did u buy the dry and dry???I will be comparing prices of the frozen onions at that store to the dry onions that I buy at their "mother" store. Pepper powder and miracle whip taste amazing together on a sandwich.

Thank you so much for taking the time to inform us foodies about dehydrating tips. You do a marvelous job and tell us all we need to know. My question is how do frozen onions measure up in quantity to normal onions, is it more expensive or not?
