To make sure my beef doesn’t « boil » in water, I always put what I call an « onion nest » in the crockpot. I slice one or two onions and put them first in the crockpot. And then I put whatever meat on top of it. It gives some taste and I’m then sure my meat doesn’t lay in water. 😉

Just a tip. When I have Italian beef at home it's better not to slice the bread all the way. You want to slice a little more than half way and sort of stuff the meat in it's easier and less messy when eating the sandwich.

I was brilliant and had my second of the two part Shingles vaccine AND my flu shot together on Friday. Not a good idea! I am under the weather from the shots, but improving. Sure beats having Shingles or the flu… Anyway, today has been rainy and cool. A perfect day to make your Italian beef sammies! Oh man, Renée! They were so yummy!! I could not find any "football rolls" today. I used chibatta rolls. My husband loved them, and asked me to pack up the meat cheese and a roll to bring for lunch tomorrow. I fixed it so he can nuke the meat and cheese and then put it on a the roll.
Thank you for this easy yummy recipe. I am thinking of making this with a pork roast next time. That bit of vinegar in the pickles will set off the pork perfectly.

Mmm! Can't wait for lunch tomorrow. So good. Thanks very much.😋💗

Looks yummy – I will do this. And also Renee and ya all, I will share another GREAT, EASY ROAST. BUY A BONELESS RUMP ROAST ( ONE WITH THE STRING AROUND IT). BUY A JAR OF YOUR FAVORITE SPAGHETTI SAUCE OR USE YOUR OWN HOMEMADE SAUCE. PUT ROAST IN CROCK POT (LEAVE STRING ON). I SEASON WITH SOME GARLIC POWDER, LITTLE SALT, POUR SAUCE OVER ROAST TIL IT IS HALF WAY UP SIDE OF ROAST). CAN ADD ABOUT 1/4 CUP OF WATER. YOU CAN ADD SOME CHOPPED GREEN BELL PEPPER AND ONION. COOK IN CROCK POT TIL MEAT IS VERY TENDER – LIKE PULLS APART WITH FORK. I STRAIN THE JUICE AND USE IT AS IS OR MAKE A GRAVY. BUY SOME BOB EVANS ALREADY MADE ORIGINAL MASHED POTATOES, HAVE A VEGGIE DISH OR SALAD. GREAT 2nd DAY TOO. THIS IS DELISH !

Made this for dinner tonight and the family loved it! Even my picky eater liked it which is saying a lot. I did add oregano to it and added some Giardiniera on top of my sandwich. Will definitely make again! Thank you!!

I made this for dinner tonight. My guys gobbled it up! My 18 year old said he would “eat that anytime!” So easy! So good! Thank you for a low-maintenance weeknight dinner.

I watched this and your Bradley’s video. Thank you so much for the info. I have one boob one size one smaller. I haven’t worn a bra in 40 some years. Back then we brined our Boulder holders. I’m going to buy several. I can’t deal with my sagging boobs anymore. Thank you so much. I subscribed and liked

Renee, I bought a beef shoulder that is quite a bit smaller than yours, it's 1.84 lbs. I can't see how many ounces your seasoning packets are, though. Can you tell me how much seasoning your packet contains, so I can adjust mine accordingly? I don't want it to be too salty. Thanks!

Renee, just had to tell you how great your hair looks in this video. That color top is so pretty on you too. I just love all your videos and feel like I have a friend in Kentucky. Love from Atlanta.
