So I think the "not comforting to make" comfort foods were/are often made for us by someone we love. That in itself is a comforting memory, even when we try to replicate those dishes ourselves šŸ„°

There's a feedback sound in the introduction/making of Pao de Queijo part of the video. I don't know if its the sender's video or Beryl's or not. Just fyi in case it's yours, Beryl, and you might want to figure out why the sound is there.

I love how you show the mistakes rather than pretending that everything goes smoothly each time – it's more real. Regarding the jaffle I wouldn't say that that is quintessentially Australian. I'm Irish and we all grew up eating toasted cheese sandwiches using the same type of device. We'd add all sorts of different ingredients but they pretty much always had cheese and something else. They're still very popular here but I don't have a toastie maker now. I just use a pan and a cast iron steak press instead. They're very popular in the UK too.

The jaffle reminds me of my sisters. It is our favorite snack that we prepare and eat together… dito sa amin, inipit lang tawag at pinaka common naman na palaman ay condensed milk at keso o ham at keso. Great to know the similarityšŸ˜Š

I usually buy the pĆ£o de queijo mix and just add the eggs to make them. It definitely tastes like the real one even though the one made from scratch is definitely the best version of all, with sweet, savory or filling at all. A must.

OMG! You seriously need to make a video about different sandwich-maker sandwitches!!! you can literally fill them with anything (savoury and sweet)! This could be similiar to the instant ramen series you have! :3

Thank you for showing us these. I love the fact that everyone has a comfort food and I love that you show us the mistakes you make. It makes us feel like we aren't the only one who has those issues šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

For local Mac n Cheese variants:

I'm from southern germany and we have KƤsespƤtzle (Cheese Spaetzle). Spaetzle are made from a runny dough with water, milk, eggs, flour and salt and then boiled in water. They are a go to side dish here.
But I love them the most when they are put in the oven mixed with grated mountain cheese that adds a tangy salty flavour and served with homemade fried and cooked down onions and freshly cracked black pepper.

i think in the 17.00 , she said "and the soup or 'kuah santan' (which means coconut milk liquid/soup)" instead of "and the soak, or the quasam" (i read the translation text)
