I don’t think you need the buillion. I add a carrot, a few celery stalks, a bit of fresh dill, salt and pepper. (And the onion of course.) But more than 5 mins. —Those ingredients are how my Jewish grandmother made it. It comes out delicious, and it’s gluten free too. Adding bullion adds gluten, it’s unnecessary anyway.
