Thank you so much Janet for the English translation!!! I'm going to try to can this today. By the way. ..I made the pork posole from the dried corn that I soaked in the cal as you suggested. It took several hours to peel. It was DELICIOUS! =) My son in law is from Jalisco and approved which made it worth it. Thank you for teaching me to make food that gives him a feeling of home. Looks wonderful!

There was a Mexican restaurant my wife and I loved to visit, but it's no longer in business. They had the most wonderful refried beans which both of us are convinced had a distinct coffee taste. I'm not sure if the coffee overtones are a traditional Mexican method or whether it was a signature dish from this restaurant.

Have you ever made a pinto bean dish with some type of coffee component? I've considered cooking and/or soaking the beans in coffee, but haven't yet tried it. I would love to have expert advice on trying to duplicate the taste in our homemade beans.

Hola +Michelle B. Thanks so much for your comment. I suggest cooking the beans 1st – as if you were cooking beans from the pot, and subsequently transfer to a pot for the rest of the recipe. It will come out absolutely delicious. Please enjoy, and buen provecho.

Thank you for the welcome to your channel. I'm just starting my own channel, Roys Kitchen, and hope to have some videos up soon. In my first for Mexican Salsa I mention you and you'r suggestion of putting both cooked and raw garlic in the salsa. It does make a difference in the taste.
