Patara… what dehydrator do you use for your tomato skins? I'm getting my preservation items together for next season ππΎββοΈ!
Have you ever frozen your tomatoes when they start all coming in at once? I have done this and it works out great. I just core them before freezing and then stick them in a ziplock and freeze. Come winter time when there's no garden to worry about and it's easier to do some things, I take out the maters and get to using them. They thaw great and the peels come right off easily if you don't want to use the peels.
Patera a couple of questions please. 1) I have seen both done but what do you do, wipe tops (rings and top) with water or vinegar. 2) I do not have a electric dish washer (only me) lol, how do I keep my jars hot after washing them? Any help would be appreciated.

I make some pretty good soup, but hubby and I like cabbage and cut okra in it. How can I make it and can it so it doesnβt get mushy?
Hello Patara. The soup looks great and I too would had a bit of pasta to the soup. Thanks for the tips. Be well.
Thank you…yum! I will be making and canning this tomorrow after church!
Thanks.
I'm new here, but you are cracking me up! But I also love learning. Good content.
Hello from north Alabama! That is some βpurtyβ soup! I know itβs gonna be yummy!π
Watching this video inspired me! I have been cleaning out the freezer and had put some ham bones in the crock pot for a day. Was just going to can the broth but after watching you can your soup we now have 10 pints of vegetable soup for the pantry! Thank you for the inspiration!
OMG that veggie soup looks amazing!
thinking of adding okra to mine
I have tomatoes roasting right now-tomorrowβs batch will just be blended in the vitamix! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you're making this been wanting to do this
We use the same ingredients to make our vegetable soup. Tomato based. Luckily my mom gave me a recipe to follow so it makes it easy for the family to copy the flavor of our traditional soup.
can you can and dehydrate rhubarb
I could watch you all day!! I do a lot of canning my self! I so look forward to your videos.. I want to be just like you when i grow up…lol, lol,(i'm 62) lol lol, I really love to hear you talk…you are very straight forward..and i love that about you..you are so stinkin cute!! KEep it up GIRL FRIEND..You got this!!!
I could just smell the yumminess!! π₯°π
I like to use a potato peeler, I find it easier to use than a knife when peeling potatoes
That's what I'm talking about! Yum!
It will be really tasty coming in from working on a cold winter day or any day. Love your canning videos Patara.π
Pretty sure Iβll be making this recipe this week π Iβve got the frozen veggies and the tomatoes from our garden. PERFECT timing π
That soup looks delish girlfriend π
I used top do alot of canning, butt never did the soup. I canned vegetables in quart jars, and sometimes meat. When I made soup, my girls called it quart jar stew. The fresh ingredients were always the celery, potatoes, onions, and garlic. I also put cabbage in. Now, I don't can things, but when I make vegetable soup I use the frozen mixed vegetables. Being alone, it's much easier. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge. God bless you and your family π
Looks great!
A huge regret of mine is not learning the canning process from my mom and my elders 30 years ago. I do however dehydrate and pressure seal a lot of of thingsβ€οΈπ₯°ππ»
Talk about perfect timing! Just picked up my first pressure canner after doing water bath on and off since 2011

Oh yum, any day is a good day for homemade vegetable soup! Just my southern opinion from Texas! And some homemade cornbread only cooked in a skillet!
Oh thank you!!
I love this canned vegetable soup video. I need to can some of this soup. We eat a lot of soup in the winter. Although it's good any time of year.
Looks so good. I donβt have a pressure canner, I find it very intimidating! I do freeze soups and such though. I love having it on hand for those days Iβm not cooking.
Have to wonder what is in the pasta in canned soup. That it doesn't go to mush..π¬
Have a good day π»π»π»
I might have just enough tomatoes in the freezer to whip up a batch of that good looking soupππππ
Looks delicious! My great granny used to bring us a big pot of vegetable soup and some cornbread. πππ
Looks delicious ππ
Looks real good, thanks for the tips
I have some chili, I need to open and start eating from last fall, this may be my next project, today I'm doing up can hamburger, yummy, yummy.
That looks so darn scrumptious, I almost canβt stand it!!!!! Canning is something I wish I would have learned more about 40-50 years ago, but to watch you make an amazing soup, and plan ahead is wonderfulβ€οΈ. I absolutely love you videos, and your love and respect for you animal family is heartwarming to watch…have a blessed day ππ»πΉππ»
