Have you ever frozen your tomatoes when they start all coming in at once? I have done this and it works out great. I just core them before freezing and then stick them in a ziplock and freeze. Come winter time when there's no garden to worry about and it's easier to do some things, I take out the maters and get to using them. They thaw great and the peels come right off easily if you don't want to use the peels.

Patera a couple of questions please. 1) I have seen both done but what do you do, wipe tops (rings and top) with water or vinegar. 2) I do not have a electric dish washer (only me) lol, how do I keep my jars hot after washing them? Any help would be appreciated.

Watching this video inspired me! I have been cleaning out the freezer and had put some ham bones in the crock pot for a day. Was just going to can the broth but after watching you can your soup we now have 10 pints of vegetable soup for the pantry! Thank you for the inspiration!

We use the same ingredients to make our vegetable soup. Tomato based. Luckily my mom gave me a recipe to follow so it makes it easy for the family to copy the flavor of our traditional soup.

I used top do alot of canning, butt never did the soup. I canned vegetables in quart jars, and sometimes meat. When I made soup, my girls called it quart jar stew. The fresh ingredients were always the celery, potatoes, onions, and garlic. I also put cabbage in. Now, I don't can things, but when I make vegetable soup I use the frozen mixed vegetables. Being alone, it's much easier. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge. God bless you and your family πŸ™

A huge regret of mine is not learning the canning process from my mom and my elders 30 years ago. I do however dehydrate and pressure seal a lot of of things❀️πŸ₯°πŸ‘πŸ»

Looks so good. I don’t have a pressure canner, I find it very intimidating! I do freeze soups and such though. I love having it on hand for those days I’m not cooking.

That looks so darn scrumptious, I almost can’t stand it!!!!! Canning is something I wish I would have learned more about 40-50 years ago, but to watch you make an amazing soup, and plan ahead is wonderful❀️. I absolutely love you videos, and your love and respect for you animal family is heartwarming to watch…have a blessed day πŸ™πŸ»πŸŒΉπŸ™πŸ»
