You keep saying how you screwed this up and screwed that up but you still have bigger balls than me to try these new things. I want to make apple cider vinegar, I want to can meat, but am too timid to try. You just keep trying and eventually you will convince me to try too! Rock on li'l momma!
Hey get a freeze dryer for you food. I freezes it till it dries. Go look at large family loves channel. She is freeze dry everything. You put the stuff in water to bring it back to normal. This lady from Thait channel seems by it

Cluttered mother, just put it in fridge after it cools & use within a few days, plan on hamburger meals this week lol.Bravo for starting canning, you will love it when you get the hang of it.
I'm bummed that I missed this! I learned from Ms.Mary at Mary's Nest. She is very calming and encouraging. She also answers questions usually very promptly. Have a great weekend!
You are supposed to wait 24 hours. I would be less worried about that and more worried that you used the correct pressure. I think you said you only used 11 pounds.
Tammy try dehydrating your Hamburg
Jessica from Three Rivers Homestead. She’s such a kind lady and inspires me also. That’s awesome you’re canning!
I think you would like Our Tribe of Many. She barely learned to can meat also, ground beef even. She has 11 kids (I think). Try her out
Watch Our Small Footprint. They live off the Grid and cans everything and makes everything. Love watching her.

Only 3 inches of water needed when empty…start everything cold or everything hot. When you did the roast beef the heat was way too high..

Remember too… botulism is odorless and tasteless, in reference to your comment that the meat would “smell” bad.

Don’t waste your money on a dehydrator, you won’t be able to take that with you because you have to have a certain plug in for it.
