In my house he did the oil wrong. Strain the noodles, then less than a table spoon of oil and mix'em quick if you are not using the noodles right away. Keeps em from sticking. Do not add the oil to the water.
I definitely slurp most things. Like i dont try to do it but it happens. Not just coodle like things, like ive done it with cereal, ice cream, salads, mashed potatoes, etc… Idk if it makes food more delicious but it happens lol
If you use a wider pot/pan and use enough water to cover the pasta, you only need to simmer for 10-15 minutes. No boiling needed. Works best with dried pasta.
isn't the oil for like…after the pasta is done and strained, you put oil on the unsauced noodles to keep them from sticking? not in the boiling water? that's what i heard at least and it works that way
So salt actually matters I never add salt to my pasta water it seemed like a useless ingredient and I always toss the Sauce in just coat every noodle and I never add oil
Untossed is so much better if you have people with food allergies or preference options. Growing up we had a spaghetti bar. I could choose spaghetti or fancy bowtie/penne (cuz costco sells them in paired packs), then decide how much sauce, next how many homemade meatballs, finally the parmesan avalanche. By comparison, tossed is just a communist pasta dictatorship. You want that time to assemble the plate as an individual because thats time the family is together. I personally dont see the love in pre-tossed spaghetti. Family is more important than flavor.
Mythical Josh: we’re not trying to have all of the Italian grandmothers yelling at us…. My Italian grandmother: what are they doing to that spaghetti?!
Dude you put in a little margarine in after you drain the water to keep it from sticking Also, why is there a singular noodle stuck to the cabinet door?
I've never had a problem with not salting the water. I feel like the sauces you put on the pasta gives it that salt. I 100% agree with not salting your water like the ocean, that's how you get cardiac arrest. ALSO those kid names are lame! I'd name my kid Vegeta after The Prince of all Saiyans! lol
Predictions. 1 boil the water, room temp won’t cook unless you’re adding heat. 2 salted 3 oil doesn’t help 4 tossing is nice, but unneeded. You can stir the sauce once plated. Edit: Bonus myth… spaghetti will stick long before it’s done. Edit: 15:51 bonus myth 2 in NO universe, would Wolverine beat Magneto
If you're putting noodles in the fridge to use the next day you absolutely want to put a little olive oil on them in a zip lock bag, mixed well. Makes a huge difference, especially if you're storing them for multiple days because you just made too many damn noodles.
We never add salt when we make pasta. I have never used oil in my pasta water. If I do use oil, it's after the pasta has been drained then I will add grated Kraft parmesan cheese from a can.
Irrelevant but Nicole looks stunning in this video ✨

First three are legit for sure
all of josh's assistants are v cute today
Nicole's fashion sense is impeccable as always. That top is amazing.
Oil keeps the sauce from sticking to the pasta, which is why you don’t want to oil your water. Not sure why people started doing it.
I love Nicole's shirt! It is so beautiful and cute.

"Big hole always, that's what my daddy told me"
JOSH NO 😂😭

BIG HOLE ALWAYS! t shirt please!

Salt yes, olive oil yes, rinsing the pasta, no!!!
Putting oil while cooking pasta never made sense to me. It just floats on the top and does a whole lotta nothing
I love them so much 🤣
JOSH. We need a GMM episode called "Will it Pierogie"
Trevor accidentally disrespected my man Vincenzo’s Plate
Ewww… Less Trevor, please.
Trevor is slowly becoming just as chaotic as Josh. Soon he’ll be showering in the sink

7:53 Nicole said “oh my god I can’t believe it” in the most unconvincing voice.
Josh is too extra sometimes
Mythical Josh: we’re not trying to have all of the Italian grandmothers yelling at us…. My Italian grandmother: what are they doing to that spaghetti?!
How are all of you getting water in your bowl of pasta? Where'd the water come from? Didn't you drain the boiled water? WHERE'D THE WATER COME FROM?
Dude you put in a little margarine in after you drain the water to keep it from sticking
Also, why is there a singular noodle stuck to the cabinet door?
I add a splash of oil to the water to stop the pot from boiling over. Oil(or butter) works for keeping the pasta from sticking AFTER it is cooked.
I didn't even notice Trevor at the background, he blended so well.
Tossing only works if there's enough sauce otherwise it's dry and gross.
We see you laughing at tossing girl.

2 salted
3 oil doesn’t help

more Nicole and Trevor STAT
V is so pretty.
