So I have watched you videos for a couple of years now. I pulled this video up to watch this morning while having breakfast with my son. He is 2.5. He preceded to inform me that he wanted cookies all day. 😂

As a Tampa person who has eaten lots of Cubans, next time try it with Swiss cheese and a mayo and mustard mix and a good dill pickle just makes it good. They are fantastic pressed also. Some places use honey butter to press it with.

One of the things I learned from American Test Kitchen is to bake pies with uncooked shells on the bottom rack of the oven. I do this with the pumpkin pies I make for Thanksgiving. This insures the bottom cooks. Just a thought.

I just want to tell you that it's all your fault that I invested in a Le Creuset oval dutch oven and frying pan…..LOL!! I've always wanted one and watching you cook is inspiring and I really don't like cooking…LOL! I got it at the Outlet store and it's the Provence PURPLE!! Now what to make first?!?!?! <3

I just made your brown butter chocolate chip cookies…… oh my gosh!! Those are amazing! I added a few add ins. Hubby likes nuts, so I always add toasted walnuts, and I always add some Heath pieces. Not a lot, just enough to give them a chewy texture. These are definitely in my rotation. Why make regular when you can use brown butter! Thank you!!

Thanks for all the amazing recipes! One tip when squeezing oranges/lemons/limes: stick a fork in it and move it up and down while you squeeze. Much more juice will come out. 😉

You should never soak eggs. The bloom is off and the bacteria can penetrate the shell. I use an enzyme cleaner (all natural) diluted with water and then after that, I pour clean water over the top. I have a designated colander I use. If you need extra cleaning, I use a brush I keep just for eggs. I used to sell eggs at a Farmers' Market in Denver.

Becky – I highly recommend Komo grain mills. I have the model called Fidibus medium. It's a stone mill and grinds wheat, dent corn, and rice quickly. I don't pre-grind flour, I grind the flour for each baked good fresh and the mill is the perfect size. I've had mine for over a year. Set up took about 5 minutes and has been very easy to use. I don't leave appliances on the counter, but this mill is so beautiful I am happy to display it proudly!

I just want to say Thank You, for not wearing your baby lately while cutting strong onions, putting meat in boiling water while splashing out hot water, frying things in hot oil, putting in and taking things out of a hot oven, taking jars out of extremely hot water from canning…just not worth the danger this could cause to your infant!

You have inspired me to grow a lot more in my garden and taught me ways to store and/or preserve them. Im excited as this year i am trying to grow enough potatoes, onions, sweet potatoes, garlic, and greens for a yr. I am even growing all my herbs this year to dehydrate and freeze. Tried dehydrating onions and celery last yr and I was sold! This year i will also be working on freezer meals to make my life a little easier.

I have the wonder mill jr grain mill. It’s hard to turn, but we bought the drill attachment. It definitely makes it faster, although, it does heat the drill up so you can only do a bit at a time. It grinds the flour really well though! I can’t wait for you to get your grain mill so I can see how you use homeground flour different than store bought flour. Wow is there a difference!

Hey Becky! This is a "learn from my mistakes" comment: I decided to let my kitchenaid work on my bread dough while I worked on another project. While my back was turned, it worked/wiggled itself right off the counter! Scared me to death, bent the knobs for the speed and the locking mechanism. Luckily, my sweet hubby was able to bend them back without snapping them, and it still works fine, but I would have been devestated had it broke! Just something to keep in mind, especially if working with a thicker dough like I was. Love your content, as always!

Oh man Super glue the dough hook back into its handle. Life is all about balance and learning as we grow older. You flow easily in the kitchen so try and flow easier into Motherhood and the new routine. It is precious to hear Baby A in the background. Your version of the cuban sandwich sounds like a winner, I will have to try that. Our family just left today, Tuesday the 4th. So now to finish our chicken coop, finishing and filling our raised garden beds.
