I missed the live, but this is such great information! I really need to invest in a slow cooker with a timer built in it. I love my old school ones, but love the idea of automatically going to warm. Can't tell you how many times my cooker over cooked because I forgot to turn it to warm! I also have a brand new deyhydrator that I am very excited to use. My pressure canner is another tool I use to can garden produce in summer, especially my green beans…yum! Oh!! I just ordered the mason jar vacumme sealer. My food saver has that attachment to, but like you, mine doesn't work well for jar sealing. Thanks for sharing that nifty gadget!

I just made a meatloaf and divided it in half and placed it in the freezer. One half of a meatloaf feeds me and my husband twice. I pull it out to thaw a day ahead of when we want it. We eat it once and have leftovers the next day. So easy.

Hi Kimmy… I love your channel. You are One of my favorites. I heard you mention the store sales at Memorial Day for bbq sauce. Could you make a video or make a list of when things would be on sale like that? BBQ on Memorial Day, Turkey at Thanksgiving…. Etc some things are a given. Oh I just heard you mention things on sale in January or February. Could you make a list for each month, holiday, or each season etc and that way we could plan ahead for our shopping trips for the year. Thank you for all you do♥️

Yes on the freezer chest recycling bins with handles. The container store carries them. Watch for when they go on sale. What a game changer! I got the small freezer chest (7 cu ft?) from Sam's and four fit perfectly in there.

I'm sad I wasn't able to catch this live. My son has ADHD, he's 29 now, but when he was 7,8,9 he was a very picky eater and we had the same rule as you Kimmy. My grandmother lived with us and got mad at us for not catering to what he wanted to eat. As his mom I struggled with him not eating enough. He was really thin, he still is thin, but at these ages he was super skinny. I talked with his psychiatrist who said to not cater to his what he wanted to eat. So one time when my grandmother was upset that I wasn't making him a frozen pre-packaged kids meal or macaroni and cheese for him every night I told her the psychiatrist said to not cater to him. He has texture issues so we wouldn't make him eat everything but we'd fill his plate and he could choose what on his plate to eat. Usually broccoli caused the biggest issues. He still doesn't like broccoli.

I missed the live but I told you, I'll watch the repeat. Great show, Kimmy! I am listening to this while I cook and prep for the week. Thank you for everything. P.S. I went to the small town store to buy the "on sale" boneless/skinless chicken breast for $2.79. I looked at the cooler next to the meats and there was a sign, "Frozen boneless/skinless chicken breast for $1.99!" I bought 2 packs and will break them up into meal portions.

I have been collecting recipes from friends and family for years, I only collect what they made that was amazing, I also add there name and each time I make there meal I think of them. I also like going to value village second hand , when I go to the aprons Kimmy I always think of you! Canada Safeway has 10% Tuesday tomorrow! Stock up and save
Theme night is fun or sessional planning is also fun, we had a group of girls and we would add to our holiday meals and make a list of a colour theme like gold for
Christmas and buy old candy, gold napkins, and we would pick a candle color,a movie and book, a tradition like walk after dinner or
    Christmas crackers or gift exchange
    Just
Make big a list of ideas then print out copies and each occasion you fill in the list of your choices, works nice for birthdays and anniversary’s, the holiday binder you can make a fun cover
    Page like Bobs birthday
    Gift ideas
    Theme
    Napkins candles
    Meal
    Desert
    Candies
    Book to read
    Movie to watch
I have these save from each family member in my binder and it’s like a fun diary to read back on, yes make it fun
Even do how many people on your list
    Ect ect

    I hope this may help
Someone, I take a scribbler and put one word on each page
    BEEF
    CHICKEN
    PORK
    FISH
    PASTA
    EGGS
    VEGETABLES
    SANDWICHES
    SOUPS
    SALADS
    CASSEROLE

Then each time I nail a nice meal like beef
I would write on the beef page
    1. Roast beef gravy potatoes mixed veggies and buns
    2. Meat loaf taters and corn
    3. Etc
Then each day I would start on the first page and choose a beef meal and the next day I would pick a chicken meal and go to each page to get a wide variety of foods

Yes! The list of meals in a book is like your own personal menu. I like watching other utuber cook and have a few of there recipes and add those to my home menu book!
IE : chicken fiesta soup.. and I like to add my own extras like garlic croutons and top with marble cheese and sour cream and green onions. I write out a recipe card and add my extras to make it like a designer soup lol

My grown son loves my turkey soup BUT I have to boil my carcass and discard the bones when he’s not around because that makes him gag! Hahaha and he doesn’t like the look of raw meat which is hard for me to understand because there really isn’t anything that grosses me out. I love your channel but my favourite ones are cooking and your pantry

I have an app that shows all those goofy daily holidays and I incorporate the food ones into my meal plan. For instance this week Tuesday is Alfredo day so we’re having chicken Alfredo, Thursday is pizza day so I’m making homemade pizza.

I am actually the picky eater in my family so meal planning is very tough as I try to have different food for my husband and kiddo but struggle as I have a hard time making different foods I will actually eat. I drove my mother crazy as a child and she tried every which way to get me to eat what she made. Got to the point I lost fifteen pounds and the doctor said feed her what she'll eat or watch her starve herself to death. I'm an extreme case of pickiness that went on into adulthood. I am little better than I was as a child but not by much. I hope no one has a bad case like me. 🤣 Thanks for the video!

I love these theme night ideas. I'm going to try some of these for inspiration because I'll be super busy for the next couple months because it's the season for grading standardized tests, and that's one of the things I do for work (I work from home). Plus I have a separate steady job (also from home) and 4 kids.

One of our kids is moderately to severely autistic and long ago insisted on some "theme nights". He said pizza was for Saturdays, tacos were for Tuesdays, and spaghetti was for Thursdays. So, we do pizza on Saturdays, usually something "real" on Sundays or finger foods, crockpot meal or something easy on Mondays because they're busy work days for me, tacos or quesadillas or taco soup or similar on Tuesdays, some Wednesdays we do waffle Wednesday (any breakfast stuff really) or random, Thursdays are for any pasta now (spaghetti or lasagna or ravioli, etc.), and Friday is my day off from cooking.

I love your channel and am a regular viewer. I really dislike the live feeds. Your attention is too much on what people are saying instead of your topic. You said some would be edited out. I hope so because this topic really interested me but I couldn't stay with the live feel.
