    The one pictured in the simpsons reminds me of the style of eclair where you don't pump the filling in from the bottom, but instead cut it open down the top like a hot dog bun. actually… guess it reminds me more of a filled long john donut, where it's cut, dipped in chocolate, then spread open and filled with Chantilly cream.
