I get so much from your videos. I will use the pineapple core to infuse my water. Thatā€™s brilliant and not wasteful. I especially enjoyed the tips on picking a watermelon because itā€™s a hit or miss with me. As for the pie cover- I didnā€™t know that either. LOL! Thank you for sharing!

I learned the pie plate cover thing today as well…premade Graham cracker crust. No bake cheese cake with berries…cream cheese, whipped cream, lemon a bit of sugar and berries to top off…yum!

I just had surgery so my husband is preparing to grill and I cut up some veggies and fruit on Thursday before my surgery yesterday. Our kid's are grown but we have 13 grandchildren so I stock up on popsicles and stuff for s'mores and popcorn for the firepit. Hot dog's, cheese, frozen veggies and french fries for easy sides. I get bread at the bread store and freeze it. Fruit snacks, crackers and I make homemade tortilla chips for taco salad and chips with rotel, salsa or guacamole.

I did know about the cover of the crust. šŸ˜€ I make a šŸ’cherry torte im the graham cracker crust. (1 cool whip, 1 lite cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, 1 t. Vanilla. Mix pour in crust and top with pie filling) this has been a family favorite for years. ā˜ŗ

Open sandwiches or wraps are a staple for us in Summer. We often use a dip as a base, like hummus or avocado dip as a little goes a long way and it's tasty. Add grated carrot, chopped tomatoes and some leftover cooked meat shredded with a fork. Easy and affordable. All the ingredients can be prepared earlier and then we put out the ingredients and each make our own lunch.

Another variation for your yummy dessert – replace some of the water with soda water to give it an extra zing.
And even get 2 different flavoured yoghurts – make up half the ingredients into one mix using lime yoghurt and the other half use lemon yoghurt. So you'd get a layered lime and lemon & lime dessert.

Iā€™m a senior and I live by myself (my son is long gone, actually in the army), but I find your meal prep and food videos very charming. Oh and on top of that Iā€™m whole food plant based so much of what you make I donā€™t eat but I still enjoy watching your videos. Youā€™re a very thoughtful and loving mom.

In the summer we eat fruit, salads, frozen treats, and for hot meals, Trader Joeā€™s frozen foods heated in the toaster oven! Easy lazy summerā¤ļø

I saw someone else on a you tube video turn the pie container over and attach it and I was like woah!! I don't normally buy store bought pie crusts but it seems awesome for that feature alone!

I've been having to buy a watermelon every week. My special needs kiddo goes nuts over it and it helps hydrate him. With my 4 kids though we will eat the entire thing in a day.

Not really a short cut but you said you like graham crackers, try using them in banana pudding instead of vanilla wafers.. My Mom was almost 95 when she passed three years ago and grew up during the depression and vanilla wafers had not been invented yet. Pineapple pudding is good like this also…
