I always keep a dish of bacon grease in the fridge to use for many of things like the chicken you fried in it. The flavor it adds is the best! I make chicken and rice often with it being one our favorite meals. I don't think I have ever used a recipe though, one of my worst habits is throwing whatever I have into the pot! This does look like a good recipe to try. I love cookbooks that have a variety of different recipes in them for things like household cleaners. And the little stories and ideas from the families of the writer are such priceless tidbits I always feel so privileged to have. Great recipe but too many dishes for preparation to clean . For me a casserole is the dish it is baked in and maybe a bowl on the side.
