Thank you ladies always a joy! We can not mention mental health without visualizing economic health. But let's talk about parents and our childhoods. What was your childhood like? I picture, from the pictures I have seen on the blog, that you two were like the kids down the street always joining up locally with one activity or another OR just zippying by on your bikes barbie dolls at the ready!! What was your favorite TV dinner? What was your favorite TV show? Favorite present at Christmastime? Favorite movie or cutest boy in school? Favorite Hug? Lots a love!! Happy Hols!
Quilting is my #1 passion and knitting is my #2. There are large numbers of people who knit, crochet, quilt, spin, weave, etc, but people who arenāt involved in fiber crafts arenāt aware of our large numbers. Iāve had people say that quilting and knitting are lost arts, and I correct them. I know they donāt get it because theyāre not involved in the fiber world. Itās their loss. Keeping my hands busy with quilting and knitting keeps my mind at peace.
Tracy-I've been using eyelash and brow serums for three months and my lashes are so long they're hitting my glasses! I'm so excited to have looong lashes! Of course, no one else has noticed, but it's my secret delight! heehee…My eyebrows are also getting thicker and filling in-which is really impressive too- NYK1 brand-not too expensive…
I am still behind watching your episodes but in ep 161 you mention products by Muud….I just found a whole bunch for sale by Universal Yarn and they are such a great price. Ordered two things for myself for christmas š Universal has this great cotton/bamboo yarn that I am so loving working with so check them out
Thank you for acknowledging all of us holiday loners š„° I was alone for Thanksgiving and it occurred to me today that I havenāt laughed in a week. But you guys and my yarn obsession make me smile āŗļø
Thank you both for sharing your knitting life with us! You bring me joy each episode and have introduced me to so many makers/crafters. I also appreciate your openness and honesty around issues that are important to you! Thanks so much!!
Tracey!!!!!! If you need to put 20 things in a box and you can only fit 19, they are too big! THANK YOU!!!!!!! I have have been struggling with this forever! #gaugeswatch
New to your videos, UK based. Loving the vibe, the love and the wool. New too knitting, can any of your lovely viewers recommend anyone to follow. Thanks xxx
I'm on my 50th pair of socks this year, and I have gotten heels, toes, and cuffs out of 20g minis for 64 stitch fingering socks. And in fact, I can get heels and toes (not cuffs) with a 10g mini. I knit on size 0/2mm needles and I do a heel flap and gusset with 36 rows (extra for instep) and I haven't run out of yarn in my minis! I use roughly 9g of yarn for heels and toes. š
My nickname in high-school was "granny knit knit" I loved knitting, but the kids were horrible and I wish I had the confidence back then to have continued
Thanks for another informative, wish list making, fun and funny, and thoughtful visit to my home tonight. You always make my evening special. So many beautiful projects, great discussion on gauge (I struggle with getting that straight, and making a gauge swatch), and great reminders about social issues. Loved it all. š
I don't knit, I only crochet…and this old dog is beyond learning new Tricks! I enjoy watching you both and don't even mind when you hit the 3 hour mark!
may I say, you both are looking really beautiful today – so healthy and happy and full of life – it totally shows. And your sweaters match and they are both exquisite. Thank you for the vlog – so wonderful to watch as I sit here knitting while you yak. Love it. Also a big thank you for the end, and reminding folks to tread kindly – I find myself without family and it is so very raw at this time of year, and I thank you for the awareness. xoxoxo
Great podcast. Jodi thank you for your words about the importance of mental health awareness this time of year . We can all get wrapped up in the merriment of the season but many people struggle through holidays and just need a moment of kindness and acknowledgement to make it through.
What a great promotional video for Michelle Obama's book.š Knitting is universal, male, female, and celebrities, etc., etc., etc. Nice to spend time with y'all.š„³
I spent all week trying to finish the front and back of a raglan sweater that I had to put on a medical hiatus for surgeries since 2016: 3 spine, 1 hand, and 1 shoulder repairāall due to injuries sustained in a rear-ending car accident in 2009. Itās such a joy to resume this project.
Though recoveries were sometimes long, I was able to knit small projects such as worsted wgt. socks, hats & washcloths.
When I knit socks with matching heels, toes, and cuffs (heel flap and gusset, 15 row cuff) I used 26 grams of yarn. When I knit socks with a short row heel, I'm able to knit heels, toes, and cuffs with the 20 gram mini. Also for my size 9 us foot, if I use contrasting heels, toes, and cuffs I usually need about 50 to 56 grams of my main color. It also depends on the yarn as well, but I've been keeping a notebook of my sock weights
Thanks ladies always a joy to watch and chat! I watch you here and there and on the Go! Love the way Youtube just picks up where we left off!! Happy Hols!!!
I am from Austria and 22 years old and I get ābut you are not a grandma why are you knittingā so often even though it is thought in school here. They are positively surprise but its annoying non the less.
Thank you for talking about domestic violence awareness! I work in a district attorneyās office and a large portion of our homicide cases are the result of domestic violence. It is very serious and sad. I appreciate that you talk about mental health during the holidays too. Love your podcast ladies!

Or crank the red for 20 rounds and the blue for 16 rounds so the red will be a little pop of color at the top when you fold it over.

My Dr said the more exercise I got, the less hot flashes I'd get, & the milder they would be. I hated how right that was šš
Awww thank you so much for the shout out for Michaela sheās going freak!!! šš xx

Love Jodi's sweater! The colorsmake me melt with happiness!

The baby hat! Check out Susan B Andersonās baby mitts. They will look great in that pattern!!
For the baby. Instead of regular socks, do long socks that cover her legs
I really wanna know where I can get Jodi's flying Richard bag lol
Jaques Plante the iconic goaltender for the MontrĆ©al Canadiens in the late 50ās early 60ās was a prolific knitter.
Iāve lost 4 family members in the past 2 1/2 yrs. I now live alone but I look forward to watching your podcasts.
Jodi that is my favorite sweater that you've made. Looks so good on you and the colors are so flattering.
