Thanks for all of the great tips, I agree with about 95%. However, I disagree about Mint as a newly switched customer my experience with them has been horrid!!! They took payment for 3 months quickly and left me with no ability to use the data or send SMS texts, all of which I paid for, and their customer service not only couldn't help, but claimed wild amounts of usage on a new number transfer which were incorrect. In retrospect, it's likely easily expained by the old adage, "IF it sounds too good to be true – IT IS."

I love bulk cooking. Whatever I make, I always freeze half. It’s so great to be able to warm up a hot meal in 5-10 minutes. I use the Bear Creek Soup mixes a lot & add my own choice of meat. Saves a ton of money & they are delicious! We jazz them up with sour cream, gnocchi from the Dollar tree, & feta cheese from Sams club. Makes a gourmet meal for cheap!! ❤

My cell is $45 but I got it because of unlimited data. I don't have WiFi/ internet so I'm saving. I'll check Mint but bet no unlimited data.
I haven't had running water in almost 5 yrs and no running car or kitchen. I eat straight out of a can for food. I have to buy my water but I'm in a state, luckily, that has SNAP.
    Ty and Happy Thanksgiving. 🙏🙏✝️

thank you for the great video! I'm looking to make a lot of changes this year! I went to a good will a few weeks ago and I was slightly offended when she said "sunday is senior citizen day, are you a senior?" I said well "How old do you have to be?" when she said 55 I said, well, yes I am, I'm 57. Saving any money is good!

Put drapes up if you live in a colder climate. That way close them at night and keep colder air out and heat in.
And blinds up in both climates so you can limit the hot sun from coming in.
Use a fan instead of an air conditioner if you can grin and bear the heat during the summer.

Always go grocery shopping on a full stomach. Grocery shop with a list of what you need and try to only shop the outer areas of the grocery store. Try not to shop in the aisles.

    Sell your automobile

Take a bus, walk, use a shopping cart 🛒 when you go to grocery store, use an electric scooter 🛴, a bicycle 🚴, subway train 🚇, cab with others but only if necessary get an automobile but make it a small, used one.

I have not listened to all 52 yet… But one major cost savings I found is to put a timer on your Water Heater. It dose not need to be running overnight. Or while you are at work. (if no one is home during the day.) It saves SO much energy. You may need a professional electrician to install it, but its worth it.

Thank you for including the estimated hourly cost of using the cooking appliances. I always heard using the oven was expensive, but I didn't have any idea of what the difference was. Based on the chart, I've decided not to stress about using the oven. The cost is negligible. So I won't save any money, but I have saved myself some stress!

I keep my thermostat at 60 and use the remainder of the hot water after I make tea, to fill my hot water bottle which I keep on my lap or low back….stay toasty warm when I'm reading

I've already made a big stack of reusable cotton pads for skincare, and I'm hoping to make kitchen paper towels next because we seem to get through a ridiculous amount of those! I've also bought some Christmas fabric to wrap gifts for the immediate family, so we can reuse it each year.

Hi Friends – I'm late to the party but enjoyed watching! A tip I might add, especially for us health-conscious types (and vegan to boot!) is to learn how to make sprouts. No garden space needed, inexpensive, and like a turbo-charged source of optimal nutrients in place of boring iceberg lettuce on salads & sandwiches. Soak, rinse…set phone reminder to rinse 3-4 times a day and…BOOM! Love to you both, Sherry and Pete-the-Briard in Delaware

One tip I got from another of you videos is to use that u subscribe button on your emails (but not Under the Median emails). Retailers spend lots of $$$ this time of year to get your money. If you want to check deals, go directly to the site. This saves time when you are clearing out your inbox but will help squash that impulse shopping!

I have cut down my spending considerably but I had heard about a “no spend January “ and it was a complete waste of time. All I ended up doing was saving my spending for the first week of February. We don’t usually go out to eat, I rarely go to Starbucks anymore but the dogs needed to go to the vet and needed food and I needed to restock my pantry and freezer. It was just dumb.

I started writing down when I impulse bought things and how I was feeling at the time really gave me insight into my spending:) also if you are getting takeaway try to get less expensive takeaway eg $15 for gluten free pizza instead of $60 for gourmet Indian takeaway. Find joy in small things – a really good cup of tea or coffee, the seeds I planted in pots inside my windowsill starting to sprout or a friendly boop and pat from a dog you meet on the street! You can be happy with less if you focus on what you have rather than what you want.

Buy the money saving 3lb package of hamburger and cook it all up. Then you can take a third of the meat and make taco meat, 1/3 make spaghetti, 1/3 and make chili. A lot of your veggies can be chopped all at once as well and added to the three meals.
