I take a teaspoon of instant coffee , a teaspoon of Fry’s cocoa powder and sugar to taste. Add about a teaspoon of milk to make a paste. Wisk it for about ten minutes until it gets lighter in colour. Add boiling milk. Enjoy the frothy goodness!

Should be ashamed of putting chocolate in the microwave like that……
Also no promotion here but Lindt chocolate balls tend to melt really well with a shot of coffee without extra heat so you can add it to your coffee shot and they come in different flavours so it can work to your taste.

Add 2 heaped tspn of pleasures choc powder IN THE JUG ON TOP of the cold milk then steam and added to 1 shot of espresso…..oh yes- I don’t like the taste of the plastic from the squeezy bottle bleeding into the choc syrup from storing on top of the machine

My favourite coffee places usually put the chocolate sauce that you made into the milk when steaming it. It makes such a lovely and fuller chocolate taste throughout the entire drink instead stuck down the bottom or never throughout the milk foam. It's the best drink I've ever had!

Its not good advice to put the bottle of chocolate on the bar, same goes with honey. Just ask any espresso tech thats been at it for a while and they'll tell you about the huge mess that they sometimes encounter when people spill those warmed bottles of sugar sauce. Not a pretty sight when your boilers are covered in sticky, half burnt chocolate or honey.

I don't make them often, but I've always made it with a ganache. Plus you can use the same ganache for a great hot chocolate (just cut out the espresso and increase the ganache) that can be made with the same steamed milk + foam you'd use for a latte or cap.

At my local Coffee Shop they use this kind of chocolate coins direct with the milk and steam them together, so you get a chocolaty surprise at the end of the cup. Jus to to eat with a spoon, or as I rather, to mix it with an extra of americano.

As a college student on a budget I don’t have an espresso machine yet.
I use 125ml of coffee from a moka pot, eyeball 1 table spoon of ghirardeli chocolate sauce, 1 tsp of cocoa powder, 250ml of warm milk and i sprinkle a pinch of smoked salt on it
