Whatβd you think of Daddy Lauβs recipe?
Your videos are always amazing. I really enjoy watching your dad cook and you narrating the videos.
On the Georgia coast you can get same day fresh wild caught shrimp that have been on ice, but not frozen.
I bought frozen shrimps once, and found them to be tasteless. Does anyone know whether it's because I defrosted it wrongly or something (just left it out for awhile before cooking, threw them in frozen fir soups).
The fresh shrimps I bought tasted different.
Or is it a brand/type of shrimp issue?

Thank you for this recipe ..definitely trying it β¦love your parents lots of hugs and kisses for them β¦they are a God Send
Wonderful dish. Why heat at the wok before adding oil? Why blanch vege first, instead of fry till it's cooked?

I LOVE seeing the home grown veg! similar to the videos showing us the Lao's out shopping, it makes the series more interesting! More on what they grow too please!
I put oyster sauce instead of fish sauce!
This feels so homey! Iβm away from home now and miss it so much. This video makes my heart warm, and the food looks delicious. Keep it up!
Please consider, we dont use the pound as a unit of measurement. We don't call them shrimp either, shrimp is an American term. They are called prawns, not shrimp, shrimp has a different meaning. You may be American, but there are more than 6 billion other people on this planet, more actually. If you could give us grams, that would be helpful.
It always blows me away JUST how much both your mom and dad know about seemingly every single kind of food in the kitchen, how to prepare it, and how to pick the freshest/tastiest. Thank you SOOOO much for sharing not only the culinary secrets and recipes but also for showing us moments of your beautiful family, I love you guys so much!!! <33333 I feel so privileged not only to be able to learn from you guys in such well made videos and blog posts but also to watch videos of you guys just being a family π
One of my favorite dishes to get! Iβve also had this minus the carrot and celery, but with added water chestnuts. I love them all!

Please, Randy, can you write down what other dishes are on the table when you guys are eating? Iβd like to learn how to pair dishes together for a full family meal! Thank you!
Can you teach us how to make Portuguese chicken rice please?
I like it! I will try this recipe.
I have learned a lot, thank you Lau Sifu!!
Love this!
i hate snow peas,
εε£θ± all the way
Another perfect dish and although I have made it many times I missed a few crucial steps and I like the addition of fish sauce. Not only does blanching make perfect veggies but also removes excess moisture and brings them up to temp and allows the dish to come together quickly and properly on the home stove which is…anemic compared to the jet burner woks at restaurants. And that was a shrimp deveining 101!
Cooking With Lau: Shrimp & Snowpeas!
YouTube trolls: Can you make it without snowpeas? And shrimp?
Daddy Lau, dying a little inside: βyes, you can use these other things, and then youβll have something that isnβt Shrimp & Snowpeas though.β
Iβm waiting for him to say, βyou can use cream, and sugar, and use your freezer instead of a wok, and then youβll have ice cream.β
omg thanks for shareππ
Lol Jimmy Oβ Yang had the same dish at the same time in his channel
This is my favorite dish of all time! Thank You!!
