Our house loves Asian flavors and there are so many great Asian-inspired dishes that are PERFECT for summer time! I’m sharing …
Everything looks delicious!!! Red onions would be good in the cucumber salad
Ok. Sorry, you do not cook with seeame oil You add it at the end fior flavor, delicious arona and flavor. But, really love your videos.
I can’t wait to make these, Asian flavors are one of our favorites! Have a blessed weekend!
Every time I watch you guys I just feel like home.. home with good people and good food. Thank you for working hard and making these videos!
For my Asian inspired cucumber salad…I’m not coordinated enough to use chopsticks so I dice or grate my veggies. It makes it easier to eat them with a spoon.
I use 1 cucumber, 1 carrot, 1 cup cabbage, ½ of a red bell pepper, ½ of an onion, and a couple of green onions. For my sauce I mix together 1 Tbsp light soy sauce, 1 Tbsp rice vinegar, 1½ tsp gochujang (Korean chili paste), A pinch of salt, 1 tsp sugar, 1½ tsp gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes), 2 garlic cloves, pressed and 1 tsp sesame oil. I toss the veggies in the sauce until everything is well coated. Put a lid on the bowl and place n the fridge to marinate for a while. Serve cold and keep in the fridge, but for no longer than a week.
You guys are so stinkin' cute!!! xoxoxoxoxo
It’s vidalia. In Georgia we pronounce the first I is a long I (eye)
I make a lot of your recipes, but i have never commented before. Those lettuce wraps flew off the plates. I should have doubled the recipe. Thank you for all the recipes you share. God bless you all!!
Stephen is going to have his next career as a food critic. He's deep with these descriptions!
The size of that cup on the table. It's almost as tall as Mandy 😂
Hi Mandy I heard you struggle with dat onion— u ax for a proper pronunciation it’s called vidalia- pronounce vy-day-Lee- ah….. it’s easy now, right… I love da recipes.
They all sound delicious. I love how your family is willing to try all kinds of foodsl
I love asain food but my husband doesn't, so i don't make it😢
Vidalia: vy-dayle-ya (I'm from Gaw-ja) 🙂
I've done those skewers before, but with a little zucchini added to the mix. The other thing I did (since, as Steven said, I was entertaining), was soak the skewers in bourbon. Slightly quicker to cook (since alcohol burns) and left a nice oakey flavor behind. Then I lost my grill, but got a griddle instead. It works the same way, for those of you that have a griddle. You just have to be absolutely sure to turn them, or they'll burn on one side, and no one wants that.
I'll try anything but find a substitute for the cilantro.
I live in GA- we call the onions Visalia – with the I being pronounced long
Yummy yummy!
Thank you for sharing summer recipes. It's going to be between 105F and 111F all of next week (July 3-11) here in the San Joaquin Valley of California. It's drier heat than you all get in SC but hot is hot. Feels like walking into a hot oven. It's too hot for children to play outside, so they play early and late. All you hear in the afternoon is the hum of the A/C condensers. No one is outside . . . the asphalt on the street gets tacky. I merely endure summer and am wishing autumn would arrive soon . . . bet you are a bit or more too. Thanks for sharing!
I just put the cucumber salad in the fridge to chill. Thank you Mandy and Steve. Have a great weekend and holiday ❤.
Good Morning Mandy. I absolutely love your recipes. I have a problem tho, I am a 64 yr old and live alone, can you make some recipes for one.
I have thighs in the freezer & will be making this!
I don't see any Mushrooms
The filling for lettuce wraps is great on shredded iceberg lettuce as a salad.
I want to try all these! Yummy!
I am giggling listening to you talk about how hot 94 degrees is. Here in Southern Nevada 94 degrees this time of year is a cool snap. Right now it is between 110 – 117 degrees. Of course we don’t have your humidity. I just love my Mandy in the Making time with you and Steven.
They all looked so good. Thanks
I made a copy cat recipe from PF Changs I bet you would like too. It uses sriracha in it. 🤌 They were amazing as well. I can't wait to try yours!
I’m definitely am trying these three dishes. They look so yummy!
Have you tried FlatIron pepper flakes? Has a combination of peppers like ghost, habanero, jalapeño and it only takes a little to set your mouth on fire. Love your videos and am watching from Fort Worth Texas❤😊
I didn't see Cole's head pop in on the last one!
They all look great but I'm leaning on the kabob and cucumber salad yum. I've got cucumber's coming on right now too. Peppers are not doing much.
Loved this video; the recipes here really look scrumptious and I think I will try the lettuce wraps first. They look so refreshing! Thank you Mandy for your hard work you put into these videos. Steven's facial expressions and Cole's appearances always tell how good things are; I love it!❤😊
I love all these ideas! Definitely want to try the kabobs! My mouth was watering watching thus video❤
Hey Mandy! Where did you get your bookworm and home body shirt and hat? Hope Gracie Lou is doing better!
These sound like great summer meals when it’s hot out. Thank you for sharing. 🦩
Do you ever make anything that Steven doesn't like?

Hi Mandy,
First off I love your videos!
I live in Costa Rica and have been here so long that when it gets below 80 F I’m cold so 96 F is about perfect for me! Haha😂
I’m from Wisconsin so I know cold and snow! It’s part of the reason I moved here so long ago!
Great recipes Yum

Is it the camera angle (?) or is that pink cup HUGE. Is it a Stanley?
Everything looks so delicious!!!! 🙂 You can share some heat with us here in Ontario, Canada!!!! Love y'all!!!! <3

I just adore you & Stephen so much! My husband & I watch all your videos together and normally make every single one of them!
Do you all normally always eat at home, or eat out as well? My husband would much rather I cook cause he says my cooking is better than any restaurant lol 😅
