Just did the 2nd one. Sugar reduced to half and used mixed pork and beef (cannot easily get pure ground porc here). Very nice! Will definitely do this again.
You’re so right about the ginger. I really don’t enjoy biting into a chunk but I love what it does to a dish when it’s grated in.

As soon as I saw this, I knew I had to make it. So I went to the grocery store and bought all the ingredients for it (including the oyster sauce that I was slightly afraid of). I made it for lunch today and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I will definitely be making this again. I can bring it to work with some rice and vegetables. Thanks for another amazing recipe!
