Never, EVER, put a licked spoon back into a batch of anything you plan to serve to others. I have a story I share about what happened to a bottle of baby food I put the spoon back into after my 9 month old wouldn't accept a second spoonful. The next day the baby food had digested in the bottle! My baby just turned 53 but it was a lesson I could never forget.

Your cheese substitute product looks like it could pass for dairy. I hope the link above is to the recipe. I'd like to try it. My other vegan cheese recipes make far too much sauce to use up with just the two of us in our household.

gave this recipe a go this morning after soaking the nuts over night and it was really good. I've tried a lot of "cheese" and this was pretty tasty. I added a little water to make it thinner. Thank you very much, I love all your recipes 🙂

Raw Cashews are around 70 percent fat, one cup is about 720 calories and again, 70 percent of that is fat. yeast is 40 calories TBLS. There is a doctor that says 'There are no good fats'

Hiya Anja, thank you for the video. You really look well. Love the T-shirt. I like the way you explain the alternatives -if you don't have this – you can use that. Query – when I make pizza (your hummus pizza) do I put the pizza back in oven and cook with vegan nacho cheese on top or top the sauce just before serving. From country WA ✧༺♥༻∞ ∞༺♥༻✧

I substituted 1 cup of cashews for one cup of cooked white beans to make this fat free. I only used a pinch of red pepper flakes and 2 TBS of lemon juice. Tasted like a yummy spicy lemon sauce and I used it as a dressing on my salad. Thank you!

Fun fact: all cashews produced for human consumption are roasted once to remove the shell and poisonous oils associated with it. Maybe that's why it doesn't seem to make much of a difference whether they are roasted (for a second time) or not.
