Hi Jill, made the radish/potato soup yesterday. It was really good. I added "Slap yo Mama", jalapeno, onion salt, and garlic poweder. Nice kick and really wholesome. Thanks for all you do.

If Maggie likes dumplings so well, she might like gnocchi in her soup. It's getting cold out and that's one of the first soups I'm gonna make after some beefless tips barley soup. I still have to rely on Gardein a bit but I think the mushrooms may be enough.

Honey, I am new here…I want to tell you, you need the Master Tonic – a tablesp a day keeps illness away – 3 T a day cures your illness. Builds your immune system too, so you don't get sick. You Tube Master Tonic with Corporals Corner! Awesome! G-d bless! Thank you for the soup "I" pot cooking!

Jill, If you hold your pack of noodle on the edge of your counter on the half way mark and hold them there with your tummy then push down the rest with your palms it makes them so easy to break in half. I have weak hands, so this is how I do it:)

Better than bullion vegan is my favorite. I get it at sprouts and Whole Foods and now my Walmart nearest me is carrying a vegetable vegan better than bullion. Yay here in San Antonio Texas. I have tried the organic vegan mushroom, not beef beef flavor and the not chicken, and the vegetable better than bullion. I love all of them. I found a good vegan creamy tomato soup, butternut squash soup and vegetable broth in the kosher section at my Walmart. One year Costco had an organic giant jar of vegan vegetable better than bullion. I miss that. It was so cheap!

If you are talking about HEB not having the Better than Bouillon No Chicken Base I found it on the vegetarian aisle in ours. Also you can go to their site, pick your store and search for it. If they have it then you can click on it and it will tell you exactly what aisle it's on.

I am laughing so hard watching you get through this with a cold! Love how real you are, and just laugh right through it. I have your cold now and am trying to cook for the week, but my head has "the fog." I also use what I have and wing it constantly! One more reason I just LAUGHED SO HARD. Also, Galangal is from Thailand; it's related to ginger. It's lovely. My daughter-in-law is from Bangkok. I am the most fortunate MIL in the world!

Looking with great interest on these soups. What winter comfort! Have you thought of bulk ordering your no chicken broth through your local store manager? You can special order through most grocery stores, especially as you already know the product has a distributor. In that way you also demonstrate a demand for the product through direct sale, which has got to be more compelling to them than a simple request or complaint. Just saying!

Hi Jill. Pretty new to your site and love your recipes. I don't have an Instant Pot….yet….but still will try it the old fashioned way. So far I love the first pot of vegis. I believe we are missing out on lots of healthy greens like the radish greens. Love them. One of my favorite greens is daikon radish greens and you never find them any more. Partly because our vegis come from so far that the farm dresses them off in the field. After a while we get used to it and have lost our taste for it. Same with celery tops/greens etc. I like the soy curls. I've been reluctant to eat any concentrated form of soy because of the estrogenic problems with soy. Obviously you don't feel that way. Looks like you use some considerable soy products. That Non-chick noodle soup looks really wonderful

After a year I finally bought a second 6-quart pot for my I-Pot. It's so shiny and pretty I was reluctant to use it! I went to eat with friends yesterday evening and my friend has one of those pots with the cheap, nonstick insert. She burned the crap out of the stew she made because of that thin bottom; it amazed me that even good cooks don't equate cheap stovetop pots with these inserts! I'm so glad that I followed your advice and bought an I-Pot. Best wishes from the Houston/Galveston area!

The three of us have been passing the same bug around since my son started his new job in September. It was hubby's turn again this past week, and I woke up today with the sore throat and fever again (sob!). Instead of the Christmas lunch I had planned, the noodle soup is gonna have to do. It'll give me the energy to get Christmas dinner going later.

Oh, and Maggie got so big since I last noticed. Did she shoot up a half a foot since summer? Wow!

    Merry Christmas, all of you!

Oh, shoot! Forget my downloading from Amazon. From now on, I'm getting any PDF's directly from your website! It works much better in my Windows Kindle reader downloaded directly from your site. I don't know why, but I won't question it! I'm a happy camper because I can enlarge it and read it! Yippee!!!

I love watching you cook with the Instant Pot. The Rachel Ray comment in this video (along with the butt slap cracked me up!)Have you ever combined the radish soup with the  Soy Curl Noodle soup?  Just wondering if the flavors would compliment each other.

Loved the video, I really want to try the soy curls but they are a little expensive. Also I was wondering if you have made a small-ish batch of cashew cream in your vitamix. it. I know you usually use your small nutribullet for small batches. But I'm interested in buying the same model vitamix as you but I also want to be able to make cashew cream in it. Any info on this?

Great video. Nice to see your family again. Growing up fast. You sure don't want our -5 c Scottish Highland weather,. Envious of
your folk wearing shorts in winter time.

What a nice surprise! Thank you, Jill!
    Full disclosure:
I pepper my bowl of soup, too. 😉

When I make that radish soup, I do like to thin it out and make it more "drinkable". However, mine always ends up being more green in colour and very smoooooth. (Perhaps the potatoes are generally smaller, here.)
I'm glad you gave the recipe a go and I'm sure if you took this as a base, did your own tweaking, you'll find yourself in the mood for it from time to time, as I do.
Soup is good for the soul… Even with radishes. 😜❤️
