I love cooking beans, my little tip is cooking them in chicken broth or stock it brings it a notch up and another one is add a whole onion if cooking on the stove, or chunks if canning, so good! Hugs from NW Ga. Love your channel!

I think for the question of why not just use dry beans, I'd have to wonder if that means that person doesn't ever buy cans of beans from the store? Do they start from dry beans, each and every time they need them? I've always had canned beans on my shelves, along with dry beans. When I went back to canning religiously, it was important to me to replace that item on my shelves. I've tried soaking overnight and packing my jars the next day and still found them to grow just a little too much. When it's time to do them again, I am definitely going to try the way you did it this time, Chelsea. I do like the pinto beans a little on the softer side, as it makes it easier to make them into refried beans.
