Thank you i needed to hear this today
Hi Dennis, I have been Type II since 2017. The diagnosis basically came with no education, take these pills. (metformin). 6 months later A1C still almost 10. Put on insulin (humalog). March 2020 US in lockdown. I did a lot of research on diabetes but found the ADA was no help, made things worse. Then I found BEAT DIABETES!! I binge watched episodes everyday. Fast forward…my latest A1C (2/14/2022) was 4.5! I take 30U Lantus at bedtime and 1.5 Trulicity 1 time per week. No more metformin, no more humalog, doing so much better on learning and understanding low carb eating. My Dr recently did a peptide test as well and it came back in low range of normal. My BMI has gone from 44 to 38. Progress is being made. I also enjoy your devos! With God all things are possible. I cannot thank you enough for continuing to bless my life through both of your you tube videos. Some of us have to be hit over the head more than once to see clearly, LOL, I am one of those! BUT, I continue to grow in education and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is my best friend. Gods blessings on you and Benedicta.
I just want to thank you for taking the time to post all of these videos on YouTube. What a blessing you are!!! My doctor told me that my A1C indicated I was one hair under pre-diabetic about 9 months ago and I've been working on a low carb diet ever since. Diabetes runs in my family so I did not want to go down that trail and was serious about reversing it before it went any further. Now my fasting numbers are in the 80's now and even dipped into the 70's a few times! I'm not on any insulin or medication for it either. I wanted to do this naturally. I have also lost 30lbs and feel like my body literally shed 15 years. What a game changer and had it not been for your videos I probably would have not had nearly that much success.
Denis I love you. watch most of your videos every night. my issue and fear with eating fats is because i battle high cholesterol. though i do regular exercise but not sure that will be enough to keep my numbers down.
In Canada, we use mmol/l for blood glucose readings. The numbers are very similar to the A1C numbers. In my experience, if you blood glucose numbers average 6.5, your A1C will be very close.
Very good advice.
I have been doing a low carb since 2015, but having a plan has helped me.
Your Keto cereal is 👍. It lowered my blood sugar 5 points.
Dennis, My friend is having BOTH legs amputated on Wednesday! This would be heartbreaking In it’s self but would seem even worse if it could have been avoided with a proper diet! Is it possible to avoid amputation with proper diet!
Everyone, dont give up! I have been managing my T2D for 24 years with low carb/keto. It saved my future. I am now discovering I do much better eating a lot less fat too. We never stop learning.
Thanks for your videos, sir.
Thank you Pastor Dennis! You have been a
great help with information on Diabetes.
So true, Dennis. I used to be able to tweak my diet and improve my numbers quickly. Now (age 60) it took 15 days on the Challenge before Mike gave me one reading under 100. Real incentive to stay the course.
My fasting glucose went as low as 57. I was taken off metformin by my doctor.
A1C test is due in April.
Thanks for your support and encouragement. God is good
The true saint of youtube god bless you for the wonderful stories you share and information its given me hope and inspiration
I hv registered but am not getting any email from u…dont know whether u received my email.
The illustration was excellent.
i've been on keto(not strict) IF 16:8 with 24hr fast twice a month for 4 months. i've lost 28 lbs. bmi at 25. metabolic panel numbers are all green. lipids panel increased total cholesterol and LDL but not worried. Blood glucose under control (hovering around 95). A1C down to 6.4 from 8.1 (from early january blood test). Overall feel better. Off all meds (my choice) – fenofibrate, metformin, and humira(plaque psoriasis). keto works for short term so far.
Dennis certainly know how extended African families can be! 😆😆😆
200 videos , you are Hollywood production, good stuff
Hi Dennis, can you share how does yogurt or kefir affect blood sugar. Is it ok to take them before bedtime. Thank you.
Yes true Its going to be a long time. But like the tortoise I will persevere.
Greetings from Canada! Yes, those beautiful Canadian winters! I am not even diabetic, but can't get my A1c to drop. I am excited to get my blood work where my naturopath tested for insulin resistance. I need to put my liver on a diet because it must be wrapped in a lot of fat!
Trip to Buenos Aires was a wonderful adventure!
I found you. It came back
Most T2D pancreas's are still producing some Insulin but with the cells in the body having been exposed to ever increasing levels of Insulin and becoming insulin resistant over a period of many years it would take some time and intervention to improve to an acceptable level. It took me about 1 year to get within "normal" glucose ranges. It involved fasting, intermittent fasting, exercise, Low carb diet and herbal supplements. Interventions i still persist with up to today.
I didn’t get an email
Hello Dennis. What was your highest a1c?
Thank you Pastor Dennis for another very encouraging video 🙏
Agree, the fight against diabetes is a life long struggle…we most definitely can get better but have to work at it daily and not get complacent with our diet and health 🙏
Two weeks in your challenge and I am finding that I am not all that interested in eating. In the past 6 days I have only eaten 3 times. I feel great and I have lost some weight and my clothes feel loose.
Hi Dennis, I have a question, 2 hrs after supper, my blood sugar keeps going up, I eat low carb high fat.
For breakfast, after 2 hrs , the glucose goes down. What may be the cause for the increase ?
Thanks
Pastor Dennis, because your wisdom comes from above it is pure, peaceable, gentle, open to reason and full of mercy and good fruits.
Thank you for listening to the Holy Spirit as you educate us about how to Beat Diabetes!
For those making the long haul, your parable gives hope to keep walking, one day at a time and for those who have exhausted their pancreas, your advice is spot on.
You share encouragement and hope to a very discouraged population whose diagnosis of diabetes or pre-diabetes sends them emotionally reeling and into a pharmaceutical pushing cohort of physicians who are absolutely CLUELESS about nutrition. Many I talked to admit they may have had ONE course in medical school, if lucky. The majority of their continuing education is sponsored by pharmaceutical companies?! Do we not see the handwriting on the wall like Daniel did?
Pray for me, on March 8 I see my endocrinologist for annual goiter sonogram. Since he of course, serves a huge population of diabetes clients, I want to gently but effectively share this exciting and excellent information.
But I already parted ways with a PCP who doesn’t get it, so I may be looking for another endocrinologist. That’s ok, my new PCP is light years ahead of the one who ditched me, oh yes, I was released from their care IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PANDEMIC because they were a trifle threatened.
I really want the endocrinologist to get it because he can help SO many people. I tend to be a Peter, so pray I radiate Gods peace like you do😊
Bless you and your family, you are on my prayer list.
Great content, very motivational👍🏾🇬🇧
Thank you Dennis, your example also works with going off the challenge plan. Struggling, but not giving up. Not sure if anyone else is struggling, I'm taking it one day at a time. It's good to hear the good, but it's equally important to hear the struggles and how to overcome them during this process. What does help is watching your Video's knowing that their is hope, help and support. Thanks again, God Bless 🙌
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for this video, because I really am from Buenos Aires Argentina and it Is getting hard for me, but I Will defeat diabetes in the end. Thanks again
It's great you don't skirt around the truth. Straight as an arrow!! 🎯
Dennis, I discovered your channel in December, 2021 and adopted the low carb, intermittent way of living and today you gave me such encouragement and inspiration! I’m a long time diabetic and on insulin twice daily and I’m an Argentina walker.. not seeing results yes, BUT
Thanks for all your inspirational vids, even tough it is so hard for me in Indonesia while eating rice is pretty much religion here. But I succeded to throw it away (include all kind of carb)… God bless u.
Thank you for the encouragement I really needed it.
Pastor Dennis, How can I get on board for the ‘22 Challenge? I need help.
So far I am sticking with the challenge. My blood sugar was 124 this morning. 111 yesterday. Getting better. Thank you. Plus, there is a big difference between blood sugar and insulin! You can have so called “normal” blood sugar readings but still be insulin resistant. Most people do not realize that.
once again words of encouragement 😉
I was never diabetic, but I was prediabetic. I took me about 1 and a half years to lose 93 pounds but it took another 8 months or so before my fasting blood sugars consistently got below 100. It may have been the extra time, it may have been me adding a 48 hour fast once a month. Last fasting blood sugar during my fast we 65! I agree, for some people it takes more time. I'm 66 years old now so had I started sooner perhaps would have been faster. In any case I made it 😉
thank you i needed to hear that
