Seeing all the neatly separated and packed food in the freezer is extremely satisfying. Also makes me ashamed of my freezer.
Wow, I've never thought to cook straight from the freezer; unless it's meat I'd already sliced for stir-fry before freezing I always thaw them in a sink full of cold water. 🤔 My FoodSaver has been one of my best kitchen purchases. Being able to buy up protein when it's on sale then portion and freeze it is an absolute boon for anyone trying to survive on a fixed income.
One of my favorites is buying up whole pork loin when it's on sale for well under two bucks a pound and cutting it into nice thick chops which can later be used as-is, butterflied and stuffed, sliced into stir-fry meat, or cubed into stew meat. 😌 Oooh, that 'freezer sausage' idea sounds awesome… 🤤
Why has everyone started calling meat "protein"? Yes it's mostly that, but there's protein in a lot of vegetables and such. Just call it meat.

As a non native english speaker, it really confuses me that minched meat can just be called sausage.
if it is not in a casing and some kind of "cylindric form" (like hotdogs or frankfurters, or maybe salami) it is not a sausage. Having the same name for both is confusing 🙂

There are only certain proteins that can be frozen and tastes good .n it can turn things to rubber..
It seems that most of the people don't understand that by unfreezing too quickly means the number of parasites grow. That's why you should never use anything frozen for undercooking, meaning beef/salmon/tuna…

Could Soy Sauce be used as a sub for the fish sauce for the sausage recipe? Or even in general? I have fish allergies so could not use fish sauce 🙂
I do it with my air fryer. Coated frozen chicken and threw them in no problem! I can throw everything in there frozen, and it cooks quickly!
5 minutes, steak defrosted in a microwave, eezy peazy…….?!

Where have you been all my life? I work from home and live in a tiny town with a huge lack of dining options. (No complaints about eating out because I save money but sometimes when you are hungry.. you dont care)
