That is great on the extra contribution! Most companies eliminated the waiting period for benefits except sometimes the 401k is after a year. I am thrilled that you got your Wegovy. I wouldn’t give up my PPO for an HSA ever. I am chronically ill and have had UHC many times. It can be great. It depends on the plan. The employer decides if weight loss drugs are covered. I hope so. UHC owns Optum, but I have a friend in Texas and one in Michigan who has different health and drug coverage. I was a department head who reported to HR, so I have seen it all.

Great to see you Mindy! Felt like catching up with a friend ❤ I’m stealing your meal prep ideas (like I normally do 😂). For what it’s worth, I’ve been on United Healthcare for 10 years and we think it’s great insurance. We have had Express Scripts, Optum Rx and Capital Rx and have never noticed a difference in prescription providers, except for customer service and website differences. I will look into the lawsuit that you mention; however United has had a bad name for a long long LONG time and I’m not sure why. As you know, a lot of it has to do with your employer and the plan they choose. My employers covers all of the GLP-1 except the new Zepbound (yet), but unfortunately I can’t access it for the $25 due to the nationwide drug shortage. My husband has been on Saxenda and Wegovy on our plan and it’s been smooth sailing for him.

fwiw, my trainer told me me to make to stretch tons after strength training and make sure to walk and stretch muscles and that has worked great for me to avoid major soreness. But I also only work out 2x a week now.

Hope you have a great weekend and week coming up!! By the way I love the music you overlaid on this video! 😊

When I visited my doctor last month I heard her and another guy talking about mounjaro, that it will be considered by insurance as a weight loss program. But my insurance doesn't cover it.
What is your insurance now? Thank you.

I considered myself blessed when I was able to use the Mounjaro monthly online $25 savings coupon, before Lilly pulled it.
I knew it was time to address the issue of trying to get a PA for it since I'm T2D. I kept reading how it would take at least a month's time to get it, so I made sure to grab one last box of Mounjaro the day the coupon ended.
I contacted my Rx insurance company to find out how difficult it was going to be, but the amazing representative faxed everything needed, along with extra info to ensure I was approved quickly. It was approved the NEXT DAY. 😊 (I now pay $25/3 months or $10/1 month)

Congrats on being intimate with Wegovy again. Finally, I got the scales to move a little when I got my B12 checked and found it was low. Taking injections and having a higher metabolism now, yeah. Take care…working gal ❤
