We have a simlir dish here in saudi its called (saliq) or (sleeg), we make chicken broth and add cinnamon stick and cardmom only then we add Egyptian rice in the borth and let it cook till its a bit mashed at the end we add a cup of milk and butter
This is like chicken or turkey purlow! My mom makes after thanksgiving with the left over turkey! I love that all different cultures are connected by food ❤ one love
I've had chicken congee almost the same, possibly diff spices when boiling the chicken, one I had was a bit soupier. The whole chicken will feed a big family.
The dish ingredients can make a similar dish from the Philippines! Chicken Lugaw! My moms recipe has a a lot more juice but the consistency of that rice 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾
In Syria we make this same combination with chicken stock to make it a soup! We also add lots of cilantro and we usually eat it when one's sick. As it's full of nutrients to help the body.
I am German and my mother (83!!) has made this dish since my childhood. Without ginger but with parsley and the most important part: Tons of freshly squeezed lemon juice..
I don’t think he added enough watee
Dam dude you just flying around and interviewing people now nice.

That doesn’t even look like Chao Ga. Like you just added more water when you cook white rice😐
