I'm glad Mary Carl does eat chicken. Sometimes raising an animal, turns children off from eating the meat of that same animal. Even if it wasn't theirs.
My brother had a farm and raised a cow. Came winter they harvested it. At dinner one night, my cousin asked his father what happen to their cow? He told him, he was harvested, and now were enjoying eating him. He never ate beef again. Glad your daughter doest have that issue. G-D Bless

I love watching your family on the podcast. You were talking about how long you have been together, and I realized hub and I have 49 years married. I wonder if I am still young enough to start a small goat dairy.
Do you ever have a fly problem? What do you use?

Somebody on YT kept the cabbage or broccoli covered with the cloth to keep the moths out… Art and Bri, maybe? Funny that Mary CArl is so smart with her breeds… Frizzle and Frizzle = NOPE! And Dad, "I already talked about the Sizzle". LOL!

??? Can we get more of MaryCarl and her silkies? Can she do a introduction video of all her project silkies? I’m new into breeding silkies so I would love to hear more about it from the chicken master! My daughter loves watching her with her chickens. We have a 12 silkie only flock.
I put those ?? At the beginning for Mrs. Brooke

I have to say I always get a kick out of Brooke. I can tell when something has been gnawing on her nerves and her sass sure comes out! Like the “we’re gonna drink it raw, na nana boo boo,” comment. I’ve noticed other comments and I get tickled to death. 🤣🤣

I learned something new the last couple of days… that the United States is the only union (we're a union of nation-states, not a country, really) that doesn't have large fowl Silkies. They DO exist, but mainly in Asian countries, where they're used for exotic meats. Bantam Silkies don't produce much meat, so here, they're more decorative than practical.

We have to SHOW the chicks where water and food is, because the hens would show them the same thing, by example. Well, we're the hens, but we cannot show them by example. They have to learn by doing, and we make them learn.
