Paprika loses color over time like a lot of foods do. It’s a natural process, even if it’s not expired. If you aren’t keeping the paprika in the refrigerator, you might want to in the future. It stays fresh longer that way.

Your paprika changed colors because it got oxidized, meaning air got to it. So, maybe your cap wasn't on tight enough, or maybe it just wasn't an airtight seal to begin with. It's not just paprika, all spices will do that if they get oxidized. That also just means that it will get older faster.

I’ve made this chicken and rice for 50 years. But, I add an envelope,or two,of Lipton’s Dry Onions Soup to the rice mix. If I don’t have that, I don’t make it as none of us like it without it. A,favorite of my son and his three teenage boys. Those grandsons can really gobble this dish up. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰

Hi Kristen, What kind of salsa do you buy, and do you use a food processor, immersion blender, or a regular blender to blend it up so smoothly? I dont always like the chunky kind, and yours looks so good!!

If you can make birria sauce you can make enchilada sauce! Order New Mexico red chile (the powder makes it easy) and blend with hot water salt garlic powder and onion powder. No need to strain! Thicken using a roux and bam!

I'm probably weird, and people have told me not to but I don't remember why, to stick to chicken stock. I used the same broth/base, etc. as to what I want to flavor, beef with beef, ham with ham etc. I just like it better.

That potato soup looks delicious. It was always my favorite at Marie Callender’s, which unfortunately has been gone many years. I’ve tried recipes that come close, but I’ll definitely give yours a try ❤. Sorry about your MIL. Happy belated Birthday.

Loved everything about this video. That bean recipe is going to be a new recipe for us to try this fall. My family loves a good hearty chili dinner with cornbread or chili over some white rice. I've always made pinto so this is nice to have a new bean to try. Good job on that birria. It takes a lot of work but worth it. Especially in some ramen or tacos with lots of melty cheese🥰🥰. Be blessed 💐💐
