When I lived in Austin I took my wife to Stubbs…she was a very square girl who hadn't been raised around music and I'm a musician. Haha Rebirth Brass Band was playing that night and went in the back and came out so zooted up and really threw down…that girl didn't know what to think.
We love Stubbs "pork" to marinade our shrimp before grilling.

By far my favorite mass produced selection of sauces. Seems like the flavor of the original is way sweeter today. I really miss the chicken marinade that was mostly black pepper. Today I normally make my own.
My first experience with Mr Stubbs sauces was his wicked wing sauce. That sauce isnt for the faint of heart. It is HOT. It is spicy but damn good. It will turn chicken wings into delicious lava! When I need bbq sauce, first bottles I look for is with his smiling face.
Gonna have to give the stubbs original a try. my current go to sauce is Rufus Teague maple whiskey BBQ.

How is the sweetness and vinegar acidity compared to Blues Hog Original or Stockyards ? Both available here in Germany.
It’s my go-to and usually the safest bet at the grocery store. Not overly sweet.
