Thank you for the cornstarch tip! I have become very discouraged making pies with meringue. My meringue was always beautiful but would weep terrible into the pie. I will give this a try! God Bless!

Years ago in Marietta (yes GA) off Whitlock Ave. there used to be a restaurant called the Country Cupboard. They had a man who made The Best Coconut Custard pie I have ever put in my mouth! It had mile high meringue and a thick layer of the best custard filling. All home made. You'd have to get there early to get some of that pie because it was always sold out.
I wish I had his recipe, it was The Best!! The thickness of your Lemon Meringue pie looks a lot like that pie, but the meringue was twice as high. And really good pie crust too. I have never been good at baking, and pies are not one of my specialties at all. I can cook Southern food, but when it comes to baking, its just not my gift. That is why I love watching your video's because I have learned so much by them. You are a Fabulous cook and make the yummiest looking dishes.
    Thank you so much.

This video gave me flashbacks of a beautiful meringue pie I cooked years ago… I took it to grandma's for Christmas dinner. I rang the bell… she answered. As soon as she opened the door and I was about to walk in… i dropped that damn pie right in the doorway.😲😱😭😭😟🤬
