Good job Kristi. I’m so happy for your progression on figuring things out. It’s such a battle with health issues that get in our way of feeling 100%. Keep moving upward and forward. Hugs

So happy for you and proud of you!! One day I will try and follow your example. It's just hard to start. I'm a procrastinator. But I'm 59 and before I know it, it will be too late. With the state of my health now, it may already be too late to make a difference. We will see. Again…so proud of you! You amaze me!! Much love from your neighbor in Alabama.

stress has an effect on hormones; it takes weeks to re-balance hormones and stress level. Walking in sunlight at dawn and dusk will help adjust your internal clock. A DAY of eating is 2 short a time to adjust or re-adjust.

Preston's girlfriend needs to patent her formula and sell it as an app. She could make some serious money not to mention helping diabetics all over the world. I was surprised you ordered the chicken since the menu said a mushroom sauce. Pretty irritating the server didn't know what was in the sauce. I just never trust anything "sauce" because there is almost always some kind of carb-laden thickener.

TN has already approved the time change at a state level. I am so glad that you are doing well!! You have got me thinking about the ADHD meds. I can also drink a lot of caffeine and it settles me down and can put me to sleep. Total opposite to how it should work. 😂

I was a caffeine monster before I started ADHD meds. I was diagnosed in my early 40’s and I do not have a mild case. I take immediate release meds too. Sometimes I wonder how my life would have been different if I had been diagnosed as a child. My first grade report card said, “Very bright child, but we can’t figure out how to get her to stay in her seat.” -Duh! I literally could not sit still, so much that going to school was agony. Eventually I became a critical care nurse, which was the perfect high intensity, physically demanding career for a hyperactive, easily distracted person like myself. The medication has been life changing for me. And I’m down to 2 diet cokes in the morning, one in the afternoon, and I sip on a hot tea or iced coffee throughout the day. I also take autoimmune drugs for several conditions. Thank you for sharing your challenges!!

My hubby can't drink caffeine with his diabetes. It makes his blood sugar spike every time (without food). Theory is that the body thinks it is going into fight or flight mode, therefore releases glucose in order to run from that imaginary tiger.

Hey sweet woman~ curious what type of ADHD meds you take, only because my daughter is taking yet another one, after the first 2 did not work out for her. So now when I hear another female between the ages of 30~50 taking meds for this, I'm super curious. Thanks for any info you care to share, I appreciate it. ~Samantha in AZ

I’m happy to hear that you are doing better. As far as what caused the T1 diabetes, I found a girl on TT that reminded me of your situation. I tagged you but I’ll try to find her name and put it here too. Hopefully it helps! 😀
