How long do you bake your Hawaiian sweet potatoes, and at what temperature?
I've bought them many times, but always cooked them in the Instant Pot.
They were good, but not great; because I always undercooked them.

My favorite is the 'Japanese sweet potato!'
I recently learned how to make them magical.
I bake them for an hour & (20) minutes, at 400. degrees Fahrenheit.
    Refrigerate them overnight.
Then, I cut them in half, longways & diamond cut each half. (So spices & sauce have nooks & crannies to slip into.)

In a large bowl, I add a bunch of spices: Curry powder, onion powder, dried chopped white onion flakes, garlic powder, black pepper, nutritional yeast, chili powder, balsamic vinegar, toasted sesame seeds, date paste, etc. Add water. to create a batter.

You can dip the halved potatoes right in the mixture, and top them off with a spoonful of spiced mixture.
Throw them into an air fryer, until they're browned & caramelized.
I use the same mixture on russet potatoes & tofu strips & air fry.

Thanks for showing us how easy it is, eating 'SOS' free. 🙂

Omg we have like the same grocery haul 🤣😂🤣 I had oatmeal with banana, strawberries, and Granny Smith Apple today, perfect tang and cinnamon spice! Can’t wait to try the carrot oatmeal tomorrow! I hate grating but you inspired me 😍 I batch prepped like 10 sweet potatoes and 10 potatoes, and made a gigantic pot of delicious white bean & kale soup with 3-types of lentils and potatoes, to last me a long long time. I also have tons of veggies and greens that I need to prep for steaming and salads. I loved your fruit salad idea also, what a huge time saver! I hate washing and peeling each time 🤣

Hey Kate! I love your videos and always look forward to the newest posting! You're videos and IG post are inspirational and keeps encouraging me to stick with a whole food plant based diet. I have been vegan for 5 years now and originally became vegan to lose weight. I'm still vegan and will forever be vegan for the animals and the planet. But it's been tough losing the last 15 pounds I've been battling to get off for years now. Your videos are encouraging me to focus on a high carb low fat diet while keeping the foods simple and easy. I'm loving my preloaded veggie soup I have before my starches and I hope to see results soon! I would love to see you discuss nightly cravings, and having the mindset to stay consistent. Thank you for sharing your journey! Love you!

    Hey Kate!
I’ve been following you and have seen ALL ur videos, love them, you’re real and honest 🙂
I love the mushy oatmeal texture too! I came upon SS last year as well, and went WFPB in June, didn’t see any changes, until February of the is year, I guess I needed to figure out what tweaks I needed to make, and I’m a stubborn loser :/
I’ve been sequencing and feel like that’s what my body responds to. Huge salads and big pots of soup, always veggies for breakfast and starches if needed. Any tips and tricks to speed up weight loss? I’ve seen so many people drop weight so fast!! And it just hasn’t happened like that for Me.

    Great minds think alike!
    1. I had carrot cake oatmeal for dinner last night: oats, 1 banana, 1 tablespoon raisins, cinnamon. Good idea to add the fresh berries instead of raisins. Less calorie dense, more water. I will do that next time.
    2. My all time favorite salad includes blueberries, pears, and chickpeas. I think I ate it for 3 weeks straight the first time I discovered this combination.
    3. I reordered another 20 pound box of Hawaiian sweet potatoes last week. Completely obsessed-they taste like cake!

Thank you for another great video. You are such an inspiration 💖

Thanks for the great ideas. I never put fruit in my salad but it looks super delicious so I'll give it a try. Do you eat 2 cups of oatmeal or is that for the famiy?

Thank you so much for sharing your journey, Kate! I'm almost a month in along with my husband. He's lost 30 pounds already which is wonderful. I know that I've lost some weight and inches but when did you really start to see the weight drop? Trying to stay patient but it's difficult at times.
