Cloth diapers are easy. Get a simple diaper bucket with a good lid, Diaper Duck, (simple tool to dunk/swish/squeeze out the water). Wash on hot with added borax and do a second rinse with a cup of white vinegar. Nighttime, Gerber plastic pants, I know plastic, but they can be washed and reused. Save the wraps for daytime. Good luck.

Have you ever done a meet and greet?
I’m near the Omaha area and I absolutely love your channel!

Also, cloth diapering is a game changer!
I cloth diapered my youngest for 2 years.

My baby was a heavy wetter at night. More hemp and bamboo did the trick for us.
Are you using pockets, pre-flats or?

I love that you want to homeschool! I have homeschooled 8 years now- 2 separate grades and now my 14 & 15 year old daughters are in college! They are thriving in an environment where they can take care of themselves, learn and grow! It is the BEST DECISION I have ever made!

    Super excited for you guys…again.
I am a mother of a (radical) unschooled daughter. My daughter is 24, became a firefighter at 18, bought her first home at 22, and is now a firefighter/advanced EMT. There is no place your children want more when they are young than to be with their parents/family.
I have been friends with, and unschooled at the same time, Dayna Martin, for many many years. She lives in Florida, is vegan, and wrote 'Radical Unschooling'. She's down to earth and raised four (?) children.

I used wool diaper covers at night. I don't know if as a plant based eater if you are okay using wool. I bought second hand wool sweaters and made my own. I figured that was better for my baby than plastic on them at night (polyester diaper covers) and better for the planet and the sheep and my wallet..there are many patterns online and its super easy. It's up to you. We never had a leak and she potty trained herself at night at 8 or 9 months. It was the best decision I have ever made. Good luck!!!

We’ve cloth diapered all 3 of our kids from the start. 2.5 year old is potty trained but we cloth diapered him for 24 months and our twins are 14 months and cloth diapered from the start as well….all this to say all 3 have leaked overnight no matter which inserts and brands we have used…especially in the first few months when they’re up frequently to nurse. They’re all just heavy heavy night wetters! We use organic disposables for nighttime. We tried everything and they’ve never not leaked. I feel a lot better about 2 disposables a day than if we had like 12-15 disposables a day!

That is why we stopped cloth diaper ring. We couldn’t find a way to avoid leaks at night. I went over countless reviews on pads and nothing worked for us. Everything was big huge bulky and my baby just couldn’t sleep comfortably. I couldn’t find anything to soak up the P. And I didn’t want to keep waking my child up at night time. It just didn’t seem right. So I stopped for a while. Also I would suggest getting a sprayer on your toilet. I never did that and I think it would’ve made a pretty big difference. Do you use inserts that are attached to your cloth diapers? Or do you have to pull the inserts out every time you want to wash the diaper in the wash machine?

I've been homeschooling for 8yrs now a my biggest tips are:
    – don't push too much too soon
    – don't compare the way your family "schools" to other families
    – join a like-minded co-op
    – while the kiddos are really young focus on reading books to them and let them learn through play

    – enjoy the gift of being able to homeschool…even on the rough days!

Sonlight homeschool curriculum is literature based and Christian and we absolutely love it. The Good and the Beautiful is written by a Mormon…. The book Teaching From Rest by Sarah Mackenzie really helped me with perspective on homeschooling. Also her book Read Aloud Family was very helpful and enlightening. We live in FL and would love to go to a FL meet up or retreat. ❤️

About diapers, Americans (or perhaps westerners in general) wait three years to potty train their children, while Asians (or at least Chinese) take one year only, saving two full years of diaper waste!

What brand of cloth are you using and what type of inserts? I have heard that hemp/bamboo inserts hold more liquid. We mostly have microfiber and just double or triple at night. Makes the diaper huge but that’s the only thing that will prevent leaks for us!

I did cloth diapers 40 years ago and what I did is they sell a center extra diaper thingy,so we had boys and the center has a different second diaper if you will- you put in the middle just to make it extra absorbent.

I’m happy about your updates! 💜🥰

Cloth diapering- I just changed my LO before I went to bed as they were sleeping. You can also try the plastic (ugh I know) over the cloth to prevent leaks it also can be used for max in transition when wearing undies if he might have an accident at night.

Don’t forget to add reusable/washable pee pads to both of their beds. It really helps you as a mom. Either just place it doesn’t under them OR place two sets:
    Mattress~>pee pad~>sheet~>pee pad~> sheet.
So if max has an accident at night all you have to do is take off the sheet and pad and BOOM you already have the next layer made for you.
Definitely helped us in the middle of the night.

Good luck with everything guys! 💜

(Having my husband look at the homes to narrow down what we would want. Hoping you will be getting an email from me so we can talk about building🙏🤞🏼)

We will definitely need to hook up about the homeschool Co-op, I am also using The good and beautiful.

i've been homeshooling kids for over 20 years and tried it all in terms of curriculum. For my last three children I created a montessori environment in my home using 3-6, 6-9 curriculum which then morphed into child directed learning. Best choice ever. I suggest reading the work of Peter Gray and checking out the alliance for self directed learning

Is spirulina great for iron absorption? I take iron 150 elemental iron with vitamin c and b12 but I'm still tired 😴 :(. I have trouble absorbing iron so I have to find a way to get it to absorb well.

I've had ruggable for 2 years and with 2 huskies, I'd say they work great! I'm sure they're perfect for kiddos! 😉 The only thing that concerns me is the microplastic that begins to shed from the removable pad and then goes into the wash and ultimately our water.
