Looks like you are doing GREAT! I started my health journey in January 2016 and found Keto in 2018. So glad I did. I have lost about 200 lbs. and am maintaining my loss pretty well…although I've had a few upswings and have had to learn how to come back from them…but I've learned so much and it's been a wonderful journey overall. I wouldn't have missed it for the world!

Four things that have really helped me on my journey are as follows: 1) Focus on improving your health first vs. the scale and the weight loss will follow, if you stay focused on improving your health, it helps give you your "why" (as they say) and help you make better choices each & every day. 2) Transform your thinking to see Keto as a lifestyle vs. a diet. This took tiime for me but changed everything. I stay Keto now…no matter what! And I am no longer tempted whatsover to eat SAD. 3) Find delicious Keto recipes you like or tweek others so you do and you won't be tempted to go astray. We made Keto mason jar walnut caramel ice cream and it was so easy & absolutely delicious. It only had 4g carb/serving (and that's with the walnuts!) and there are so many other versions we'll be trying…I'm sure. Also, change things up recipe-wise, whenever you need to or if you start to get bored and always have a few favorite easy Keto recipes in your back pocket that always make you glad you're Keto (a good steak and Keto Meatzaa Pizza are two of mine). 4) Learn to deal with whatever issues you have that make you want to overeat sometimes. Keto has provided me with a framework & foundation to live a healthier life, but I have still had to work on my desire, at times, to eat when I'm not hungry and emotional eating. I am still a work in progress but each year, I get stronger. And I am learning how to no longer use food to fix problems that food can't fix.

I like the shout outs. I am just the worst at commenting sometimes. I have told myself I would try to be better. I watch the videos on my TV so now I pull it up on my phone to comment. Hoping it helps. πŸ˜¬πŸ‘πŸΌ

    Hi Alan
It was nice to meet you on the live.
I like the sound of the higher protein so I will check that out. My concern with Keto is the higher fat version that I see all over the place and so I think I might find the higher protein might be more suitable. I am looking for something long term too so that does sound more doable. What are your target steps for the week? πŸ‘ I agree with the goal being getting to a better place. One step at a time. I am focused on diet, fitness and wellness for the entire journey so my overall health is my focus too. What I eat in a day would be good btw.
My week was not too bad. I have been transitioning from a mainly fluid period and thinking about how I am going to eat going forward,. It has been mainly fruit, coconut water and a few greens this week as I transition back.
