Not sure you can help me or not but may I please ask you … Ive been on STRICT Keto (no sugar, no starch)16/8 but mostly 18/6 for 2weeks now & my belly is still bloated???

Most days im below 700 calories , i just get full & cant eat any more… 2 cups salad or steamed cauliflower with a piece of baked chicken ( I don't digest red meat too well) … Any advice for almost 55 yr old???

I agree Christina. When I was strict carnivore, I actually got to the point that I craved something green. Not in huge amounts. Just a bit of veg or salad here and there. I think that combo suited me best actually. I’m just low carb at the moment. Probably going to veer back towards being mostly carnivore with the odd bit of veg etc thrown in, as I felt better on that than any other way of eating that I’ve tried. Better energy, better mental clarity, better mood.

Absolutely want to be taking a mega-good probiotic w/ the anti-biotics. I think it's funny you have a Dr. Hassleback. Does he wear his red speedo to the office? J.K. in 2011 I had a radical hysterectomy and have a 7" scar, the little zings and itch and pain as everything knits back together take at least a full year to abate, and I will tell you, to this day, my breast reduction (2015) scars and my hysterectomy scars still itch when the weather changes, to this day. It's not constant like it was during the healing process, but it does still happen.

Yes Co-Amox are huge aren't they? Try giving that alongside regular medication to a resident with dementia! lol
You look so well. Im glad you are recovering so quickly.
'Nobody ever died from eating peas and carrots'. Exactly this! I had turnip last night and my god it was good…lots of black pepper and a dollop of butter. Nom! I hadn't had proper turnip since my husband died (6 years ago on 13th Feb)….it really reminded me of Sunday lunches. I really enjoyed it and I have some left for tonight with broccoli and steak mince. I cant wait lol x

When my husband and I had the covid in Dec. we took 46,000 IU of Vitamin D a day and 20,000 Vitamin C 50 mg Zinc and NAC. We recovered without any meds or hospitalization. Sick for 3 weeks but recovered.

After my VSG the only pain I experienced afterward was in my shoulders. Super great to see you healing so well. Not sure what a I would do w/my hands without the ability to play w/ my belly skin! Keto going on 4 yrs but Carnivore for 6 weeks w/Mr. Valentines Day we decided to splurge, steak dinner adding mashed cauliflower & steamed broccoli ( funny how others think that’s crazy).

Can you take that herbal supplement Iron and Herbs? I think it’s even made in Switzerland. It’s a liquid tonic. The large bottle is about $45-50 here in USA, maybe it’s cheaper there.

You’re just antsy, it’s understandable. You’re recovering very nicely 👍🏻! So glad to see you take as many scoops of Vitamin C powder as you can, I totally believe in Vitamin C for a healthy body and take 3 to 4 scoops daily. 😉

I'm so glad you've shared your whole journey. My fantasy is a tummy tuck. Of course, given how horrible medical care is in the US, I would have to pay the whole thing out of pocket even though I have exceptional insurance by US standards.

Aww, is that your daughter helping with the heat pad? What a sweetheart. Gotta love our teenagers. So precious. What causes Keto pants and how do you resolve it? It's so annoying and inconvenient! It's really the only reason I dislike Keto. Thanks! You're looking really well, the color in your face is back. 🙂

Hiya. Have you ever tried milk kefir Christina? I haven't had a flu or a cold last longer than 2 days in over 10 years and I believe there have been 3 in total. The last one was 3 years ago….took most people I knew down for 3 weeks and it was 3 days for me.
