Most “plant based” replacement items are like a science project. Very unhealthy. I personally wouldn’t buy them. No judgement for those that do though

I have started to make my week menu, from what I have already and then shop for what’s missing! It’s helped with my budget! Prices have gotten so high everywhere!!

That's a decent haul, Shakema. Prices are up all over the place. The grocery store in my little town used to have a meat deal, pick 5 packages for $19.99, but a few weeks ago they went up to $21.99. Hugs, Kim

Sometimes trying to keep up with all these different diets will have you going broke, I just learn to eat smaller portions and exercise little more !!!

I love in CO. Mountain states have the highest inflation. I’ve found that I do the best with my groceries by shopping the sale ads at regular grocery stores (not Walmart/Target). For example, I don’t buy strawberries or grapes and definitely not beef when there isn’t a sale. If cheese is on a great sale, i buy it even if I don’t need all of it at that moment. I use the grocery store apps to find out who has the best prices for things that aren’t in sale. I have a list of things that I buy at Sam’s, Costco or Walmart/Target because the prices are better on those select items. We can do this…just takes a bit more work!

Most plant based eaters I know make their own "Parmesan" by blending Brazil nuts, nutritional yeast and salt. Of course you can use any nut you want. Then they put that on pasta etc. That's definitely more "whole food" than follow your heart stuff or even the non vegan equivalent.

Unfortunately prices have just gone up! I think you made the grocery store and your budget work for your needs so well! It has been on my heart to do some extra preparing so I am going to do just that! Appreciate the guidance as always. ❤️

Another really good way to use up your bananas a slice them put them on a silicone baking mat on a pan in the freezer for around 6 to 8 hours then you can put them into Ziploc bags and throw them in the freezer and if your kids want something sweet to snack on let them have the frozen banana my kids absolutely love frozen fruit for a dessert

Even though the meat is on the rise you did a pretty good job if you spent $60 and that meat gives you 11 meals in total that would be $5.45 per meal break it down into three people and that would be just over $1.81 per person per meal not so bad
