That is a beautiful pot.
That smaller cast iron pot at Aldi is a good size for side dishes. The one that you purchased (I have one too from a couple of years ago) is perfect to roast a 6 pound chicken (like rotisserie size). it's a great size – I use it for so many things.

I need a Dutch oven, I’ll have to check my Aldi. But your right it’s no cheaper than Walmart these days. And, I prefer Walmart brand.
I just bought a gray colored dutch oven, 4.2 qrts from TJMAXX this week. That french oven is a beautiful color green.
Cut the peppers up and put in freezer. Works great.
He did a great job with your groceries! I love my Dutch oven I’ve had it for probably close to 11 years and absolutely would never give it up! Please be careful with the jalapeños, make sure you please wear gloves! I made the mistake last year of cutting up jalapeños and pulling seeds out without using gloves and ended up getting “jalapeño hands“ it was very painful and lasted for over 15 hours I tried every remedy that I could and nothing worked in my hands are burning in on fire for those hours! And make sure you please wash your hands even afterwards even though you’re wearing gloves when you pull out the seeds from the jalapeños or deal with the jalapeños at all because if you touch your face or any other body part it could start to burn your skin as well.

I roast my whole chicken in mine, delicious!!! I got my 6 quart Dutch oven form Aldi about 6 years ago and it has head up great!

whew sis, im over these grocery store prices, i so miss the good days of superdoubles, love the pot
