    You look great! Congratulations.
I love the “having tools in your tool box” that hugh!
I think half the battle is knowing how to resolve something.
On another note: wow! your daughter, Geez that’s so crazy.
It sure could have been worst, thank goodness you listened to yourself, and looked back and seen the smoke. Sounds like your discipline of listening to yourself ie your triggers has helped in other areas. I’m just starting Keto, so I’m doing a lot of research and happend upon your video. Keto’s abit confusing, but in just 3 days now my inflammation and water retention has decreased. I go intermittent about 14 hours then have eggs and a meat only, I did have 1/2 avocado today for the fat. I’m bit scared about not getting other nutrients provided by fruit. I miss fruit! I loved my veg and fruit, but smoothies in the morning, but clearly they were really bad for me because of weight gain, inflammation and water retention, I guess it’s the glucose.
Lastly, I don’t know much about the Carnivore. Anyway thank you for your video. Best to your daughter, poor thing. 😬

Jess you look amazing, you Glow….was wondering how an obese person determines their goal weight! I am 5'4 probably a medium frame and one time I got down to about 160 lb with starvation diet or calorie counting and excessive exercise but I looked like one of the Auschwitz survivors. As a kid I was supposed to be between 121 and 141 lb according to the metropolitan Life tables from a long time ago and I probably weighed 121 when I was nine. Overweight yes but not super corpulent. Comments would be appreciated.

Jess, stick with what works!! Carnivore is healthy and working!!! Why stop what works? Why add carbs and do what got you to where you were originally and don't want to be? A drug addict can't have just a little cocaine! We can't go back to where we used to be. It just doesn't work! Hate to be blunt, but I have to. Sounds like excuses from an addict. I wish you all the best but I can't listen anymore. 😔 I wanna hear about success, diet, nutrition, health, fitness, not much else. Shorter videos are also better in my opinion because I will just keep fast forwarding to health topics and main points. Good luck to you. Glad you're finally giving up keto treats and bars, especially builtbars!

The thing that has been a game changer for me is getting rid of all oxidized vegetable oils, including olive oil. I think this is what was keeping me insulin resistant. Watch Dr Chris Knobbe YT vid to see why: 'Diseases of Civilization: Are Seed Oil Excesses the Unifying Mechanism?' … He looks like my kitty! I love tabbies.

Been Keto for years but weight crept up over Covid. My Mr & I started a Carnivore Cut as of Monday. It’s super easy but for me long term it’s just to boring for me. We do incorporate dairy & spices unlike some staunch followers who only eat red meat. Off to boil a dozen eggs………

Yay on staying out of the Easter candy! And on the weight loss. You'll get through the weekend just fine. Tossing out an idea – chicken and fauxtato salad for the cooler. 🙂

So happy you got off the Carnivore kick. Lots of deficiencies and it is hard on your kidneys and GI system. Add the veg and salads. Much safer and will keep you healthier.

I would like to jump in here as I suspect most of the comments are from folks much younger than me, and maybe someone out there can resonate with me. I am 70 years young, (female if that matters🤔) and have been Keto for about 2 years. I started for mostly weight concerns that happened during the lovely pre and post menopause years. I went from a healthy 140 (I'm 5'4), up to 190 in about a 5 year period. Of course with that, came the high blood pressure, insulin resistance, gallbladder issues, (emergency surgery to remove it in 2019), which resulted in a severe staff infection and pancreatitis! Prior to menopause, my only surgery was for my daughter who was born in 1975. I was fairly healthy before menopause except for some arthritic knee pain, which I pretty much always just ignored. Flash forward to 2020 when I got fed up with everything and decided to take control. One other side note, I am not now, nor ever have been a big meat eater. Mostly big salads, lots of veggies and chicken. Also, I have always refused all prescribed drugs, with the exception of antibiotics for the few UTI's I had in my 30's, and to get thru the gallbladder issue. Fortunately for me, one prescription was all I ever needed to be cured. That's a whole other topic though😉. Anyway, to cut to the chase, after researching, I found Dr. Ken Berry on You Tube. From there i started Keto. I dropped all of my favorite carbs, (you know, potatoes, corn, rice, pasta, bread etc), and followed the plan. I went from 190 to 178 fairly fast. Maybe 6 weeks or so, so I kept going. I was feeling better so slowly started putting in some "keto" treats. Snack bars, shakes, breads and the like. In about a month, I went up to 183!😒. I was so upset. Lots in between here, but I know this story is likely becoming boring to you, so will jump to this year. I had been bouncing back and forth from 178 to 185 in 2020 and 2021, (now I know it was from all the "keto" labeled treats I was consuming), so the end of March 2022 (still following Dr. Berry), I switched to strict carnivore. Since as I said, I was not a big meat eater, this was a HUGE effort for me and looking back, I am sure this was why I waited so long to start. I truthfully did not think I could do it. None the less, I have been diligent with it. No cheats at all. My first meal was a challenge, but can honestly say after consuming a big fatty (plain) burger cooked in bacon grease and topped with a couple pieces of crisp bacon, I was so full, I could not believe it. I stayed that way the whole day. Each day got easier. I feel wonderful, any digestive issues are gone, no chronic pains anywhere. I walk daily or use my mini trampoline for about 10 minutes a day to get the old heart pumping! I typically fast from 6pm till 11am next day and then eat one or two meals in my eating window. Oddly the weight just stalled out. So in researching more videos I learned that dairy (namely heavy cream, which I used quite a bit of in my coffee), could be what was causing the stall. So, for this past week, as much as I hated giving it up, I bit the bullet and did. On top of noticing even more improvement in joint pain relief, I managed to lose 1.8#. WHOHOO!. For me, carnivore will likely be my lifestyle, with perhaps a yearly splurge day of something totally forbidden😅.But that will only be IF I really want it. As of now, I am not missing any of my old comfort foods, nor am i EVER hungry. There really is something to eating healthy fat! I would like to get my weight back to 145 or so so I can get my BMI out of that dang "obese" category 😅, but more importantly to just know that I all my blood work is perfect. I am in for the long haul. Well, there you have it. I could have written much more, but will spare you. This rant was to share some background but also to tell the over 70 group, it can be done! I plan to live well past 100 but in the healthiest body I can!

Jess, I have to be honest and tell you that I stopped watching you a few months ago when you started all that crazy yo-yo dieting with a new way to eat every week or every month. It was pure insanity! I felt so sorry for you and your body. Your entire world revolved around what to eat, what to shop for, how to prepare it, what cheat snacks you could work in. It was just nuts. I repeatedly tried to tell you about eating "mostly carnivore" but you never responded. I guess your brain just wasn't ready to grasp that idea.

Your new video popped into my feed today and I watched…wondering what insanity you were up to now. I'm so glad you finally seem to be getting your sh!t together. Life should not be a DIET…and certainly not a DIET of the week/month. Yo-yo dieting like that can be the worst thing possible for your health.

I mostly eat carnivore, but by gosh, when I want a donut or a piece of pie or a dish of ice cream smothered in chocolate sauce….I have it! I went on a junk food binge last week and ate ice cream, a blueberry muffin and an entire can of Pringles chips! No, I didn't feel guilty. Yes, I actually gained TWO pounds. But…2 days of carnivore and those 2 pounds are gone again. And so is my craving for pure junk food. I found my happy medium and I really hope you can find yours too.

Dear Jess, try not to say you’ll never be cured of emotional eating. I think you will be. There still may be more discovery as to why this happens, but I feel you will over come this. You are an over comer. You will overcome this too! You’re doing great. 🤗
