The best way to eat century egg is to pair with pickled ginger. The acidic taste from the pickled ginger will harmonise with the alkaline taste of century egg. Give it a try.
(U. Roger mode) No no no! What you doing, Guga? What you doing? (puts leg down) That is ramen egg not century egg! Niece and nephew, Uncle Guga makes really good steak. (fuiyo!) But thinks all brown egg is century egg. HAIYA! Niece and nephew, don't let Uncle Guga catch you with your pants down or he will think you are hiding century egg between your legs. (sorry children)
Traditionally it is cubed in small bite size then mixed with chicken porridge. The porridge will dilute the strong smell, while not overpowering the creamy taste of the egg. It's kinda perfect complementary.

Congee with Pork and Century Eggs. Hopefully you get the chance to try it out and it may change your mind
Viewer from Hong Kong here. We call that “皮蛋” (pei dan) and most of the time its paired with pickled ginger, sauces or even in Congee, rarely eaten straight although some people like eating it that way. I personally like it as long as it’s paired with other stuff and eaten at low quantities at a time. Love your vids where you try out weird stuff man
Guga, try Swedish "surströmming". Traditionally served with Swedish hard bread, sour cream, red onions, cocked potatoes and fresh dill.

The eggs are usually put in ground tofu, or sliced thinly and dressed with vinegar and/or soy sauce. The egg on its own is too strong to be eaten as is,, and is mostly used as a garrnish or additive

I was in Malaysia and saw people eat this in the morning with rice porrage. It's wierd, but fine. Smells like ammonia, but the taste is way softer. I like it with some spicy herb salad and rice noodles.
