Ibotta had a deal with Walmart. Purchase a turkey up to $15.00 and your received full amount back instantly. I did that and my turkey was free. The best part was even if turkey cost $13.00 you got $15.00 back.

I went early and got a 13 pound Turkey at Kroger. I always cook mine in a bag. That's the only way I have found that doesn't dry the turkey out and I use the juices all left in the bag to add stuffing. It is a hit every time.

Smell the pineapple if it smells sweet that is one way to tell if it is ripe. But pineapples ripen from the bottom up. So you should store your pineapple upside down. So the sweet juices flow from the bottom to the top and help the top to ripen .

I've given up buying whole fresh pineapples. 1/2 the time even when it's ripe, it doesn't taste sweet. Since I do love pineapple I only buy it freshly cut up where I can see/smell the sweetness. Since I am so frugal and buy just about everything else on sale, I don't mind this splurge ๐Ÿ™‚

With Pineapples If the leaf pulls out as easily it is ripe and you can smell it. I am not a fan of sweet potatoes. Did you find a lot of shortages at Kroger? I did my shopping at Meijer yesterday and they were out of many things. Meijer had turkeys for .33 cents a pound. I really wanted a Turkey Breast and they were sold out. I did get a 12.3 pound Turkey for cheaper then the Turkey breast. I am going to portion it out and vacuum seal it with my Food Saver and have yummy Turkey dishes all Winter. Besides I like the dark meat better. Great price for the Butter.

I live in Arizona and I was looking at my Fry's ad while you were at Krogers. The weekly digital deals are the same price here. They were a couple of differences like the 12packs of sodas are 4/10.88 and the Butterball Turkey is 99 cents a pound. The Kroger Turkeys are 79 cents a pound.
