Joe, I am sorry to hear about your dental situation. However, I had four teeth pulled (includes molars) over the last couple of years. I want to do Keto but do not have the teeth to chew steaks or other types of meat. I hope you will consider doing some videos on some foods you can eat on Keto that do not require a lot of chewing. That would be a great series as you go through your dental journey. There are hardly any videos on youtube on that topic. Just a suggestion. I pray you will be able to have a better dental experience this time around.

Also thank you for what you said about wearing your crown. Being positive about who we are and stay on plan. I too had a rough day and told myself food wasn't a fix.

That actually sounds like a decent price for that amount of dental work, especially without insurance. I know several people who got implants, and it is a long process if you need a bone graft, but they were all happy with the results. Good luck to you. โ˜บ

I don't like dentists either, I was tortured when I was pregnant with my 4th son. But I had to get a tooth pulled and implant was the only option which was $5500 for 1 and it dont include the tooth lol. It only hurt for about 3 days though and sore for a few weeks.

I needed major dental work done a few years ago. My medical assistance would not cover the procedure!! As a single mom I was on a super tight budget and dental work was out of the question. A friend told me to try Aspen Dental and I am so glad that I did. They gave me a free exam and then a meeting with an account manager. I was able to purchase really inexpensive full coverage dental insurance with no waiting period. A month after the work was complete, I stopped the coverage. Do yourself a favor and google no waiting period dental insurance.

Joe I'm with you ! I've had a lot of bad dentists also. It all started when I was 16. I went to a dentist and he recommended pulling a molar. So I said ok , he gave me a shot of novicane and left for about 15 min. He and assistant held me down while he started pulling my tooth. The assistant told him it looks abscessed. The dentist disagreed and proceeded in pulling my tooth. I realized I didn't have enough novacane and told him . He told me to stop being a baby and toughen up. The pain was so bad I almost passed out. I jumped out of the chair and ran in the waiting room bleeding profusely. My mother told them can he have something for pain . They said take a Tylenol! Anyway that was my first experience

I too was able to get full dentures .not easy to do but I was able to learn how to eat..I just cut up meat smaller than normal but was ok with that..I'm still working on the mental issues that went along with it but it all works out with lots of prayers…praying you do well . Stay on program..and I was blessed with a Christian dentist..they are out there.

That's cheap… my mom spent 30k on each top and bottom… good luck Joe! Only suggestion I have is check around for a dental school…it will take longer, but usually 25% the cost of "retail"

Joe, next time you make noodles, put the dough hook on your Kitchen Aid. Turn it on low and now you only need one hand. It works so well and it's so much easier. I do then run the knife through the noodles once to cut them in half.

If you have friends that you trust, you may want to ask them if they have a good dentist and get a second opinion. Because this is so very expensive and important for your overall health. Anyway I hope you have a great outcome.

You two have some of the best attitude Iโ€™ve seen in humans lately. Assuming what we see is really your reaction, Iโ€™m impressed that you stay so even keeled with stuff coming at you. And Rachel, I love how supportive you are of Joe.

Are there any dental schools where you live?? They have one at Creighton Medical Center here in Omaha that I have gone to and they are way cheaper than any regular dentists. I've also heard of people going to Mexico for dental care!

This might sound crazy, but do you have a dental school near you? Sometimes you can get a price break if you allow the student to do the work (obviously with instructor oversight). We have a dental school in WI that used to do that.
