Averaged, about $200 week for a family of four. Two parents, two college kids living at home and commuting to school. This doesn’t include the pets. Things have definitely went up. I cook mostly whole foods, from scratch, and limit processed. I think that helps. I got a grain mill this year and make all of our bread/baked products. I can’t believe how much a loaf of bread runs in the store these days.

£130 including cat, toiletries and household cleaning for myself and my Husband. This was about £75 as recently as last year. It's so expensive these days! Many blessings from the West Sussex UK ❤️🙏🏽

I have no clue what we spend 😅 I’m horrible at budgeting but groceries are something that we agreed we don’t really care what we spend on it. I will say I went to Aldi last time to get groceries and I felt like I actually got a lot for the money I spent. We don’t buy any kind of pre packaged drinks and I know that helps keep our costs down a bit.

I spend around £50 per week for just me, but I also have a large garden so during the summer I buy no veggies and a lot less fruit. Even now I’ve got tonnes of tomatoes (plus a huge amount of green tomatoes I’m leaving to ripen – should last me until end of Dec), squashes, onions, potatoes, kale and apples. I’ve also focussed on preserving this year. I’ve got over 100 jars of tomato sauce, salsa, chutneys, jams, apple sauce etc that will hopefully last the winter so I’ll save some money there too. Have also frozen as many veggies as possible, and saved seeds to save for next years garden.

Hi Jen! OMG, King Arthur flour is the only flour I buy. By far worth the extra money in my opinion. I bake my own bread every week since the pandemic started. I can tell when my Kroger store is out of King Arthur and I am forced to get another brand. Maybe the extra protein content in it helps my bread rise at our altitude (10600 feet), but I love it. Let us know if you think it makes a difference for you! ❤️

Hi Jen new subbie from frugal fit mom here, I live in uk and spending £45 a week for 2 people, I also bought apples as six for £1.50 was cheaper than a bag full. All basics, bread, milk, eggs and butter has gone up. Adding a few items a week to put by for Christmas. Hugs to you all

I am loving the Ray’s honey mustard! I mix it with Siracha as a fry dip! I’ve never noticed a difference in using the “good” flour or not. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We’re spending about 350 a week, for a family of 6, excluding our meat. We primarily eat beef that I buy once a year from a local butcher.

Happy Halloween to the Chapin family! 🎃
