Like i commented on Authentically Charles when he reviewed WagyuKushi “Wot?! Why?! You like beef?! I like beef 🍖😜!”. Was just at Don Quijote early this morning to shop and grabbed a bento from a vendor a few doors down from WagyuKushi. Wished they were open as the char on that beef looks so good 🤤. Agreed, don’t like to use sauce on good beef as it masks the flavor of the meat and caramelization from being flame cooked. Haven’t had anything to eat since that bento early this morning and watching this at 9pm is making me really want some! But lean chicken salad for dinner it is 😭😆! Have a great week Misty 🤙!

I have been to that Don Qui so many times while on vacation and have never seen that place. Omiyage tunnel vision, I guess. Thanks for the delicious review!

Aloha Misty: Thank you for taking us to the old Holiday Mart food court — yes, I am from that gneration 😅! Your Wagyu beef was a delicious looking one. Wagyu beef sticks must have paired well with the sauce over the rice. I have barbecued Wagyu beef in the past. The cuts of Wagyu are very well marbled and it will be deliciously tender — you found a beefeater’s delight in Honolulu. You got a great gourmet meal, at a good price, for lunch — you just needed a warm sake to pair with it. Looking forward to the next great, and yummy, find. Best wishes, and hopes, to my fellow alumni and your ohana! 🤙🧧

Daiei for this makole former local . This is a different kind of skewer with its very thin “skewered” on beef. Does it seem like they accordion-fold the beef from one long strip onto the stick? I’d like to try making it. Did you taste marinated beef or only salt and pepper beef?

Like the shirt. Back in my days in Indonesia I went to Yogyakarta. There was a street named Malioboro Street. They printed up posters and signs with the same stylized logo playing off how it sounds like the certain brand. So funny. Skewered meat, Indonesia, now I’m in the mood for Satay.
